Rep Power: 0 | | My Shakiest Flight Yet Well guy's I finally got the chance this morning to get into the Air again with my buddy. My preflight and takeoff were absolutely beautiful. We had been watching our radar and weather charts for a very large storm system but due to commercial traffic we couldnt divert to another heading to get away from it. I mean I couldnt get them to budge on even so much as a 10 degree heading request so i figured after chatting with my buddy we would request an altimeter change to a flight level ceiling of 37k feet to get above the system. After riding alongside a 757 for at least 70 miles we got cleared above her so a few adjustments to LNAV computer heading for auto pilot i began feeling one heck of alot of vibration in my yoke. Greg told me to keep ahold of it and made a quick trim adjustment and it seemed to smooth right out. I felt fine as could be and next thing you know that same vibration is back only now it is a shudder I could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong while I was trying to watch instruments and control level flight???? I ended up having my pal Greg take over and he only took about three minutes to let me know that I wasnt doing a thing wrong but that our LNAV Auto Pilot Computer was NOT compensating our trim. Greg showed me how to do it even as I flew(he wouldnt let me stop!) while I was in constant contact with towers and I couldnt believe how quickly it was over. I dont expect many to recognize much of what I said but lets just say it was a very scary and bumpy Flight. I have to say that out of many many flights I have been thru with him this one was the scariest but we trusted each other and I learned another valuable flight lesson. Had to get my ass home quick and get medicated for real.LOL Whew, least it wasn't my fault. I am going on the hunt for a nice HD Camcorder so I can take some ****pit inflight vids. Greg said that the FAA HLS can get sketchy over that but can be done to their satisfaction quite easily. Of course they are copying the video no less just for record.Uh huh. Whatever as long as I get to do it I think you guy's will freak pretty good. God love Cessna Citation and The Sky! Love ya guys and please be well, Med OOPS! sorry bout the language.

That's gotta be fun. | Well he actually now has 2 and is currently finacing a 2008 Gulfstream. We Fly a Citation X and a Citation 4 model(s). Oh by the way he isn't just a friend He is a Co-Pilot.LOL He trained me for many years now so we kinda make up a little team. Haven't had a chance to get qualified on "prop" class planes. Only Twin Engine Jets. That was awkward as my pal tells me most Pilots start out on Prop type Aircraft.LOL I guess I just kinda missed that end of Aviation.LOL

interesting picture you paint mc. I can't only compare to riding the HoG... closest I've gotten to flying a plane was on ****pit visit as a kid and jumping out of a perfectly good one once because I just had to do that before I leave this little mudball we call home.

didn't mean to "one up" or devalue the story... just saying I could imagine by your description. of course, that's far from the real thing.
