| As I stood outside partaking of a bit of nature's Prozac, I was staring at the night sky, wondering about all the inner workings of the universe... Wondering which stars, were stars, which ones were galaxies, which ones were just planets, etc... Wondering about who else is out there... What kind of creatures exist beyond our sky, and all that...... Then realizing that every living creature on this earth that had eyes, and even a minimal level of consciousness, has looked at these same stars since almost back to the beginning of time itself, and wondered the same things... I think back to the more primitive levels of our own species, the ones that let petty superstition and fear rule their lives... The ones that lack the understanding that we now take for granted, and I pity them... Then... I think about the ones today, that even though our level of technology, understanding of everything we've previously experienced as a species, and current physiology still allow petty superstitions and fear rule our lives to this day, and I pity us... But then... Another thought came into my mind... A million or a billion years from now, IF the human race survives itself... What of the beings the Human race becomes? While still smoking the children of this fine herb... Were looking up at these same stars, knowing everything there is to know about everything there is to know... About everything... Having evolved to the point in their existence to rival what we would presently call gods... But yet, wondering what it would've been like to be us... Stars are born & stars die every day somewhere in this vast, endless void we call a universe... Whether or not there is some form of "higher power", I wouldn't know... If there is, it has absolutely nothing to do with any religious belief system we have here. Perhaps the universe itself is a living creature of some kind... A sort of vast consciousness that we, as we are now, could never begin to comprehend more than a small fraction of what it's all about... I do believe that we are not alone in the universe. With all of the stars & planets within our own galaxy that we call the Milky Way, there has to be someone else out there... Then, there are the trillions of other galaxies, each with trillions of stars & planets of their own... To say there is no other life anywhere else would be mathematically impossible, and ignorant. I would imagine that there are races of sentient beings out there whose abilities, knowledge, and understanding of the universe far exceed anything the human race could ever comprehend, and others that haven't learned to walk upright or communicate with each other... The human race is nothing but dust in the stellar winds... Occupying this tiny, insignificant planet we call Earth, for the brief time we are given... And the brief time this planet will exist orbiting our sun, which will someday die itself, then be reborn billions or trillions of years later... A never ending cycle of life & death spanning the ages... Our existence is but a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things... Just ONE planet among countless trillions of other worlds... I wish I had the means to travel to those worlds out there just to know for myself. What does it all mean... Our existance is so inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. We are all as insignificant as a single grain of sand on an endless beach... Yet, at the same time we have the potential to be magnificent. Just think of what we can someday become... IF we can survive ourselves...

| Seems like our friend Snick is a decendant of the ancient persian poet Rumi When the grapes ferment to wine They long for our ability to transform As the stars wheel around the pole they yearn for our expanding consciousness It is the wine that gets drunk with us not the other way around it is our physical body that grows from our true self not the other way around We are the bees and the body is the honeycomb We make the universe, atom by atom, bit by bit please feel free to substitute MJ for wine! and excuse my rather free translation | ||||||||

| Snickel: That is a historical piece of writing there...we are honored that you shared it with us. You have great wisdom...and insight..as many a night I have wondered the very same..we CAN NOT be the only sentient beings in this Universe, or if not in this universe in one of the billions more that exist beyond our technologies ability to see. Thanks...ya just made my day. ISO

| Snick. Very very nice, thank you. Oh, just one question. What strain is it that you grow? I'd love some of that enlightenment... Brussels

| I wrote that last year... Thought I'd share it here. Glad y'all liked it! Don't remember what particular strain I was smoking that night... Or if it was a salad...(mixed) Sometimes I'll mix a few different strains in the grinder & see where it takes me. All I know was it was a very cerebral high & I wanted to write down my thoughts before I forgot what I was thinking about. Sometimes it's hard to hold a single thought for more than a few seconds... Let alone write a book about it! I just had the urge to write that night...
