Default why the sudden interest in High Grade Seeds

I am curious about high grade seeds, many members, mostly new have been pushing hard in many posts

HGS doesn't show up on most of the well know seedback review sites

even the advocates talk about the HGS site being unreliable.

prices seem good but not the best

also also some posters extoll the virtures of HGS's genetics on well known strains as if they were superior to other seedbanks DNA

HGS may be every bit as good as is being said....it may be even better...but how do we know that

Do members have intimate knowledge of the sites breeding programs and such....have they had the opportunity to compare the HGS genetics to others in a side by side grow?

I am curious and a bit careful because sometimes sites like GP get overwhellemed with posts pushing one seedbank and at times it seems like a bit of a promotional effort...

I am not accusing anyone of that!!!!!!!!!!!

but I would like the kind of info that would set my mind at rest and give me a mind to perhaps try HGS...be great for all of us if they did offer a truely superior product...

Please don't take offence if you like HGS...just help me understand what makes it so special in your opinion....I want to know what you already know

sounds like we need the HGS vets in here, like Petertoshpan and Major Buds, shit HG himself! Most people complain about are not getting a prompt email after a random personal message was sent, most of them are resolved. Even for this reason we started a Feedback thread on the forums for people to complain, and end up taking their words back...which indeed they did.

HGS is good because of the price, the guarantees (even if your seeds dont reach you, hell send you the exact same order for free..one guy even got both packs cause the other one took a month to get there..which is also on the USPS not HG). I also love going through HGS because hes not some Businessman, hes a real down to earth kindve guy who does anything in his power to resolve any issues, or take advice from random people who sign up on the forums. You also go with HGS because of the quality and Yield.
I
dont think persuading you with words will work so just wait for the forums to get back up and you will understand.

great customer service is certainly a rare value in the seedbank world...that alone would explain some of the enthusiasm.

Cool

How about location and shipping policies? Many US members have found a real lack of enthusiasm on the part of seedbanks, if not outright refusal to ship to the US because of the Rosenthal incident (btw: does anyone have any new news? Last I heard he would do 5 years in a US jail.)

Can't blame these seedbanks for their attitude, I would do the same if I were in their place. I wouldn't want to spend time in a foreign jail just because some Imerialist A**hole thought he owned the world....But that's a whole other rant

So how's about it, do they ship to the US?

Later,
4kaan4

Hi! There folks.

I am a newbie here and enjoying learning and chatting with new friends and finding some of my old friends from highgrade. I don't think anybody is intensionally pushing highgrade seeds or such. I just think that so many of us ended up here and became new members because we are addicted to growing and talking about it , we all had to find a new place to hang out. I guess all us new members are only growing highgrade seeds at the moment and are not able to comment on any other strains.
This is my first time growing something that I ordered off the net. Everything went well for me. My plants are huge and healthy. Haven't tried smokin any yet. Not ready yet. Actually I am not much of a smoker. Just like to grow.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to set your mind at rest.

Cheers!!!!!!! Shinningwind

I can understand that it's very easy to think all of the new HGS users flooding the forum recently are just part of a promotional campaign.

While I was searching for a seedbank to order from, I was drawn to HGS for several reasons. First is the level of customer service I saw happening on the site. No where else offers a guarantee like HGS'. That right there is worth my money.

Also, the community is very grow log oriented. By the nature of it, it is a wealth of first hand experience and knowledge right there.

As far as the genetics, I personally have no basis for comparison, but HGS has said several times that he selectively breeds for top quality. I think this definately shows in the numerous grow logs that are/were at his site. I for one would love see a side-by-side comparison of HGS' stains and some from other seedbanks/breeders.

And while you can find cheaper deals on the net, I've found that in general the prices at HGS are right at the pricepoint I'm willing to spend.

Had the HGS site not crashed last week, I don't think GP would have seen the influx of refugees. Some of us can't go without cannaporn, though. LOL!

Nothing I've ever seen on the HGS site makes me think that highgrade himself has sent the legions out to do his bidding, as it were. However, I do know that many detractors of HGS are quite vocal online due to being called out by HGS for their poor growing techniques after they critisized the HGS genetics. I know there were several threads on grasscity that this happened on. HGS mentioned in the past that the reason he isn't part of rating or ranking sites is because he doesn't believe in the "politics" of the seedbanks. Whatever that is supposed to mean.

We are all glad you are here, we just wish to understand and I am sure if you where on the HGS forum and a bunch of new members came aboard from the same origan, you too would be curious. I personnally have immensely enjoyed the new members and am very glad you are all here. You have to admit, it is not strange to find it curious.

Peace

Of course! Most of the "old-timers" at HGS are in the States. The shipping guarantee even covers the US as well.
