Default Seed Storage

Hello everyone on GP,

I want to know what is the best way to store seeds? In a bag in a box or does it even matter. Seeing as I will not plant all of them, how long can I keep them for?

and just so you guys know I have settled on skunk 1 and will be converting a mini fridge as a stealth grow box

Best to keep your seeds in a cool, dry, dark place. I keep mine in little baggies or film case inside of a wooden box.
The oldest seed I have got to sprout was like ten years old..

Cool

I put my seeds in those amber medicine bottles and put 'em in the cupboard. I'm not doubting Shaman, however, the best I get is about 5 years before they won't grow.

Proper seed storage:
Dry- ,moister will cause them to rot or spruce, both you don't want
Dark- keep your seeds from light, light can be a killer
well temperated- seeds keep fresh if you store em not too hot nor cold (45 to 60F should be the best)

i keep my seeds in tiny jars and baggies, that i then store in a tin can with lid. also keep silicon dry bags with my seeds to keep em dry. those you can buy from stores that hold good for companies and stores to wrap and ship stuff around - box of 100 goes for 5 bucks normally.
Also handy are those old film cans, but those become rare as digital photography moves on. so if you know a place where you can get a hold of these do it know.

I kept mine in and old cut out dictionary., the paper kept things very dry, and it is always nice and air conditioned in the room. Seeing as I've only got about a year under my belt of indoor growing I can't say much about how long they'll survive. A year later I still had all of them sprouting.
