Rep Power: 0 | | Sativa vs Indica Whats everyones preference on selecting strains? I actually prefer the Sativas. I love that Cerebral "up" and creative feeling I get over the more sleepy "couchlock" Indicas. Blends are nice sometimes as you sorta get the best of both worlds. I prefer the Sativas during the day and early evening but probably the Indicas at Night for Pain and Sleep. I just kinda got hooked on Colombian Red and the Acupulco Gold in the late 70s and early early 80s. Sadly I have been unable to locate those strains anymore as they are probably long gone now. What a shame that hurts. My search for anything close to those has came up short in this age. I miss that so much. It is a new Genetic age I guess and i'll just have to do the best I can. Perhaps a little trip to South America could help?????? LOL I did smoke some Medicine called Lambsbread about 7 or 8 years ago that was VERY close but I have since lost that contact so oh well. My search continues. It is a fun one. I love a "dream state" effect. Yeah I like a knockout for Pain and Insomnia but i'd kill to find that stuff again. Just a thread guy's so take it wherever ya want.LOL Peace and Love, Med

Hey Med,
HGS has a Vintage Mix. Panama Red, Columbian Gold, and Acapulco Gold, each crossed with White Widow.

Lot's of places, Lots of possibilities if ya have unlimited cash and time to Fly all over the world.LOL. At least you would get to meet people all over. Thats right up my alley. I'm a people person anyway. Peace Always and Thanks again, Med

personally my sought-after strain is one from the ancient monks in Nepal where they have been perfecting a strain for thousands of years they say is "spiritual and religious". Nepal Haze is around in some seedbanks, said to be high sativa (80% most). but i really want to visit and find the seeds myself as a little adventure. maybe one day when i'm rich.

I prefer the Sativas when I have stuff to do but I have to say the Indica dominant strains are my favorites. BubbaKush, BigBang, BlueberryXCindy99 and G-Force are my top strains. SuperSilverHaze and Jack the Ripper are my favorite Sativas so far. World of Seeds has a few Landrace strains like ColumbianGold and Wild Thailand. DrChronic has them. I also saw some original Thai at Gypsy Nirvana. I would like to try these strains but my budget does not permit me to do so! Maybe next year? Hope you find something you like out there.

I love Sativas. If there are Sativas and hybrids I haven't tried I'll always try them over the Indica strains I haven't tried.

With Sativa's being more cerebral you would think it would make you more paranoid |

Wow, that looks awesome. I can't wait to see it finished.
As for paranoia and sativas I rarely get it because. I get it more with indicas that make my thoughts cloudy and I get antisocial around those who don't smoke which leads to paranoia. It doesn't happen with sativas, I dunno what to tell you. I've never been too sure exactly what people mean by "cerebral," but I definitely have a harder time thinking straight on the indicas.
That Madonna looks freakin' delicious.

personally i like sativa during the day, and a strong indica at night to knock me out. some of the medical indicas are simply too strong and 'cloudy' as one said above to really try to act normal in public lol. you just look all squinty and as if you are falling asleep. i have found that i like a Trainwreck mix sativa during the day. Recently I've had SnowWreck, which is 75%+ sativa. Very nice for a day on the beach. Then at night for sleep I hit up my Strawberry indica or anything that has "Kush" in the name(because Kush seems to knock me out in general). Violet and OG Kush being the personal favs.

Sativa blends are for in the morning and mid-day. Indicas are for the evenings and before you go to sleep. if you can sleep.
