Default Requesting strain recommendations...

I've been trying to do some research to narrow down my strain selection to just two. I have some criteria that I'm trying to go by, so any recommendations would be helpful.

Both strains will be grown indoors, under 400w HID, with a max of 6 plants total.

Strain #1:
For this strain, I'm looking for a super potent, body-numbing smoke. This is will be my medicine to control my nerve pain and also to help me go to sleep at night. I'm looking for something extremely strong, but yield is not very important. I'm an experienced smoker, but my tolerance is fairly low now, as I don't smoke as much anymore. I would like something that I'll only need 1 or 2 hits of. My initial considerations have been White Widow and White Russian.

Strain #2:
For this strain, I'm looking for something more "recreational". I'd like something that has a good flavor and smell, has a nice euphoric buzz, and something that has a pretty good yield. Something I could wake-n-bake with (even though I don't WnB much anymore) and won't put me to sleep or make me feel burnt when I come down. My initial considerations for this strain were Blueberry and Kona Gold.

Of the strains I'm considering, I've only smoked Blueberry, and only once. Most of my other experience has been with Northern Lights and various Orange Bud varieties. I'm curious what you guys would choose for these two different strains if you had to make the decision.

I gotta agree with Scott, try the mazar for your #1 strain.
I know I tried it once, and ended up growing it....I dunno even know anymore how many times, but I got some going right now!
It is quite the strain.

I've heard good things about the Strawberry Cough as well... I would go for that. That Mazar sounds interesting as well.. I have heard you guys saying good things about it for a while.

I think Mazar is very under-rated...it is easy to grow, forgiving of bad treatment...short dense xmas tree like plants...stable, very potent, above average yeild, and an interesting non-skunk smell....I know it is easy to get attached to one strain and loose your objectivity...but again I think it deserves to be on the short list of best strains to grow and use...it just doesn't have the name appeal that is often a big attractor...and though I have no experience w/ strawberry cough and can't remember how many times on many sites people w/ experience claim it is an excellent up high not matched by many other strains - though it is harder to grow and the yeild is below average...but hey we are going for quality not quantity correct?

Most of what I've read about Mazar has come from this site. I trust you guys, so I'll definately look into. However, if it really is as expensive as some people have mentioned, I may have to wait, and get something else instead.

Everytime I see the name "Strawberry Cough", I always think of the movie "Children of Men" and Michael Caine saying "Take a hit of this. Now cough. What does it taste like?" Heh.

I'm not familiar with the strain, nor its history, so does anyone know if it really does have a strawberry aftertaste, and also, which came first, the movie or the strain?

Mazar is a bit pricey...and so is the cough...but the Mazar is on sale now at the site I would recommend for it
*SPRING SALE*

MAZAR Feminized
£83 GBP (USD $155)

WAS £93 ($170 USD)
10 Feminized Seeds 2nd price "High Times Cup" 1999
2nd price "Highlife Cup" 2002
This is an upgraded selection of our valued former Afghan/Skunk. We improved the variety in 1997. The taste is softer than before and we managed to improve on yield. The Afghani (Mazar-i-Shariff) part is a very short Christmas tree- like plant, 100% Indica and very resinous. The F1-cross with Skunk#1 gives the variety a bigger yield and better taste. Very good “up” high. As both parents are very consistent, the offspring is very consistent too. Grows well outdoors in warmer climates.

Mazar Feminized Marijuana Seeds High Quality Low Prices

there shipping was very satisfactory and all the seeds germinated...but you are right about the price

Scott:

I always would go for the "deep deal"...

Marijuana Seeds Super specials Seeds at the low prices

White Widow, Crystal and Ice, 10 ea. and the price just over a hundred...

Not a bad buy at all, and great strains.

good point Iso....I just figure $17 a seed is a bargin considering the cost of buying the budz instead...but I guess a good grower shouldn't spend anymore than they have to get the great results...and why pay 17 if you can do as well for 10 a seed...then again considering the time effort and enjoyment one can derive from cultivation spluge and try whatever flotes one's boat...my real point is that picking strains is fun because there is so much to choose from that is so good...it is a blessed time when it comes to getting top DNA
