I ordered some Mandela Satori and De Shaman Purple Widow for all my friends that would rather have color than good bud. But I was curious to see if anybody knows anything about the Purple Widow strain. flavor and how the high was. I know what the description says on dr. chronics site and all the others. I was just hoping for any extra info because the info wasn't very infomative.. Thank you in advance.

i have smoked purple widow before, not sure if its this exact type, but it was very good. potent too, put me on my butt (mostly indica). flavor was decent, i dont remember anything special about it. i would give them a shot. anything with widow is going to be potent, and the purp in it is no doubt another heavy indica, so there wont be any question of the power of the strain. i dunno how tall/fast it grows...but if you got the seeds.....why not try out one or two? i always like a nice variety :-)

by the way, if your friends are all about color, you should explain to them that a large percentage of strains can easily be made to go blue/purple/red color mix. its done by lowering the temperature of the grow area within the last few weeks of flower. ive made strains go purple by simply lowering temps to near 60F the last week or two. granted, the 'purps' strains will go MORE purple than others, and may not even need the low temperature to trigger it......but i thought you should know anyways :-)

Thanks Daz. The purple widow was thrown in free cause i had a little credit with the doc and was sick of trying to make something work out. so he just said order satori and he'll throw that in. The purple isn't really for me. I'm sure I will smoke it but both strains are going outside next year. I'm going to find a mother first and put many clones of both out next year along with my Barneys Farm LSD and Blue Sat #2.2 and I've read alot about sanniesshop.com and I plan to order his F6 Jack, NYCD and his lowryder just for kicks, early smokes and many harvest. GrowDoc doen't have much to choose from. I think I'm still going with Sannies. Stock up and quit ordering for a few years.. 1 more question about the purple widow. mainly bag appeal? does it always turn purple? I have no control over night temps or day temps for that matter but I just wanted to know if it was a pretty purple, cheap purple like does it look like quality bud or just purple bunk weed or just purple hues. any strong visible crystals? I must say most people around here don't know jack about gonja. Indica Sativa, no idea what that means. but purple weed!! people will pay an arm and leg for it. If people knew any better they would just grow their own. I'm like a god here cause I keep all my friends high for free but thats about to change. I'm being taken advantage of and I'm going to start asking for some donations.

Thank you Ileso, I've already placed my order with the Dr. chronic because i had credit with him so I wanted purple but i was going to get satori no matter what. He gave me a deal he'd just give me purple widow if I bought Satori so I did. I'm not looking to buy any more purple strains. I only wanted the purple widow to get the purple grow over with and it was a good deal so I couldn't say no. Next time I order Will be Sannies Jack and NYCD. but next time i go to a seed bank with many breeders I want to get Paridise Belladonna maybe Barneys farm G13 Haze. I'd like to get DJ shorts True Blueberry but its never in stock at the attitude or Dr. chronic and I don't know any other sites to trust. I'll check those strains out though. well either way they were free. and I'm sure the seeds will be better than the bag seeds I planted this year.. I thought I read that 90% will turn purple but I've read a lot of BS in my short life. Live and Learn?

I'll just have no expectations from that or my Blue Sat 2.2, I try not to anyway but I was surprised to see how bad some of my badseed turned out outside. I didn't get a chance to put any clones or plant any LSD outside this year so next year I'll have the LSD, Purple Widow, Satori, Blue Sat 2.2 and hopefully if I can get some $$ to order the F6 Jack and NYCD from Sannies! That is maybe pushing it though. But I'm scared growing inside anymore I have to give it a break anyway. so I ordered the sativas for outside and I will try to keep my LSD mom or find another one early next year to put some outside and maybe do inside again? What is your favorite outdoor strain. or one you'd suggest for the Midwest US were it gets up to 100's easy and first frost is usually late October? I guess anybody who reads this can answer if they want.

Many genetic excellent outside ... I had plants outside Mazar huge ! As the SSH x Blueberry ! or Sour Diesel ! or Primera Dame (mexican) ... etc.
But the weather is perfect in the South of France ...

I can not advise you in the USA, sorry.
Possible that another farmer in your country can better inform you ???

often friends told me that Grapefruit, Satori, Jack Herrer or Blueberry WERE BOMBS ! when I worked on them = I gave the WEED ...
for me it was average !

After I tell if a friend buys = Chemdawg91, Avalon, De Puta Madre, or Lemon Thai = he can find the paranoid ? too much power ? uncomfortable with ?

It is always difficult to advise a Weed ...
especially if it is in the medical field ! The choice should be clear ...

watch the news on the Internet, reading articles, studying the effects, informs you on the specifics ... Genetic grows you need ... it is always heartbreaking to lose time with genetics that is average for us !
