Rep Power: 8 | | Virgin Grow - Big Blue and Random bag
I'm finally ready to get started. I have been reading forums until my eyes ache. I am germinating 7 Big Blue seeds from HGS and 3 random seeds just for the heck. Two of the BBs have popped and are in a jiffy pot greenhouse.
I have two flourescent tubes for the first two weeks and 400mh for veg and a hps bulb for flower. This weekend I have been hanging the lights and I'll line the closet with mylar tomorrow. WHat is the best way to hang it, tacks, glue?
It's all very exciting. ALL COMMENTS / ADVICE WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED!
Peace,
Tab

Good luck with your grow tab it sounds gr8t. I used panda film (similar to mylar) and I used a staple gun with a tiny piece of cardboard against the staple not to puncture the film. It's not heavy stuff so just a few staples and it worked fine.
Post up some pics of the little babies when they are ready to see.

Will do, Lucky. No real danger in posting pics from your home computer, huh? Have to learn to keep my paranoia in check.

Have to learn to keep my paranoia in check. | We are a safer site here tab mostly sick folks growing a few plants to help survive is all. There are many sites out there where people grow for other reasons and maybe have more focus on that. You should be good to post some pics we love to see the little ones grow you know.
Your call in the end.

6 of the seven big blue (northern lights X Blueberry) have popped and 1 of the 3 sativas. They are very close to the lights, I check on them throughout the day like a freak. Should I be moistening the peat pellet with distilled water in a spray bottle or water from the bottom up by pouring into the tray?

Tacks are best, at least you can fill the holes, getting tape glue off is impossible, and paint makes little difference, just changes the colour Quote:

Howdy, nice grow. I too, have a Blueberry/NL cross, but my clinic calls this strain Blue Cross. Is Big Blue the "real" name? Does anybody out here know? Just curious. Anyway, nice plants. GL HH

I'm growing 5 clones from one of our local clinics. I was told they should finish up in 50 to 55 days. I'll be posting pix hopefully tomorrow in my journal. Haven't figured out how to get lables on the individual frames yet however. If your lights are 2" away at this point those babies are just fine. I've found it to be all most impossible to burn a plant with fluro's. Hang in there and GL. HH

I just wanted to update you guys and get an opinion if I could. THe sole random sativa seed withered and failed to thrive almost immediately. I pulled it out today. So we have six seemingly happy big blues. Only one of them has a long tap root coming out of the bottom, the others don't show any roots at all. Should I transplant now to the 16 oz cups? I was going to keep them under this light for another week, but its getting cold at night and the lights may help keep them warm. Decisions Decisions.:
