I usually feed after the first week, VM. About the time the second set of leaves are just starting to develop. I only do that because I've burnt the life out of seedlings in the past trying to feed right out of the shell, so to speak. I prefer feeding early as it gives them a bit of a boost to get them past the delicate seedling stage.

yea i also start feeding right away. right after they have cracked, in my hydro setups i give them 1/4 strength solution for week 1. half strength for week 2, and about 3/4 strength for the 3rd week, then full strength after that.

Maybe by the 6th week of flowering switch to molasses/water, than to just water.
Peace

i wouldn't feed so early video, give the plant 2 weeks to suck the soil "dry" before you start on fertilizers - normal peat soil holds enough to support a plant for up to 4 weeks fully.

Hey guys, okay, here is what has happened so far:
If you didnt know, I've been ill and in the hosp, so I only had my wife to take care of the plants, and shes disabled so, she cant do much.

When I got home they were soooooooo stretched it wasnt funny.
I really hate cfls, especially when things go wrong. HPS has faster healing capabilities in my opinion. So today they are under the hps light.

Tomorrow I will transplant them, and bury alot of them, to compensate for the stretching.
Pics to follow.
Peace

Hey VP I took my one week old 5bb & 5 Mazar (fem) from under the cfl's and under a 1000mh-hps ans added 5 drops of FF Grow big to a 1/2 gallon, and 3 days later they are rocken. I have the light 3 ft away and they are stretching just a bit. I agree with you that the big lights make the plant grow so fast tyhey don't have time to get sick

Okay, here is my update for today, I got a bad case of insomnia, so we are going to spend some time together today. lol

I've been not feeling too well, so this grow has been horribly neglected. If you recall, I was ill, and the plants stretched horribly. That is only one problem, the other problem is, when I tossed these under the HPS lighting, aka, the flower room, I forgot to set the timer to 18 hours, so they've been growing under a 12/12 schedule.

So here is the scoop on what is going to happen later today, we will be mixing up our own organic soil mixture, (pictures to be included of course)

We will than be transplanting our stretched babies into there new homes, but not before we cover several inches of stretched stem into the soil, so they will "appear" normal again.

I'm going to have to look at these stretched stems closely, what I am thinking of doing with the worst cases of stretching is to bury the stem into the dirt, 2 inches, and than make a 45 degree turn, sideways, and place another 3-4 inches of stem sideways. Sort of shaped like an "L"

After I get the transplant completed, I need to turn the timer back to 18/6, place em in there and give em some more time.

Now I wanna be honest with you guys, I get good days, and I get bad days, sometimes I just feel like crap, and my whole body aches sooo much, so we are gonna be cutting corners on this grow. It's just the way it is going to be.
As an example, this transplant will be the ONLY transplant to happen, they will reside in the growpots they get today, til harvest. This isnt a recommended practice, but sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do.

I've never grown bubblegum before, but if memory serves me right, our good friend and member, green_nobody is our resident expert on bubble gum. Green, I hope your watching dude! I feel confident this is an easy strain to grow.

The grow pots I'll be using are 8inches x 8inches x 7inches, square, not round.
Peace

Okay people, I have rested some, and am ready to do some work.
I do wanna say, theres no feeling like getting down and dirty while you play with your soil, I always come away feeling....I dont know how to explain it, but I suppose farmers live a life feeling very refreshed and close to the earth.
Of course at my age, the hard part is NOT getting down and dirty at all, it's trying to get back up on your feet again!

Moving on ganja heads...I've decided to eliminate the blood meal from my mixture completely.

The bone meal I am using is a pre-bloom additive and that usually will help address any MG issue, and also provides a light amount of N thats needed.

Basically what I did was, I used 3 different brands of soil, only becasue I had them here already. One brand seemed to cake more than the rest, I didnt like that, one was very fluffy, I did like that one. To this I tossed in a lil bone meal, and several handfuls of pearlite.

If you do NOTHING else, you must use soil and pearlite. I like it about a 40% mix of pearlite.

Now what I did was mix everything in my guest bathroom tub, I first premixed it into a bowl, and when I had the mix I wanted, I poured it into my growpots.

Picture one: is the beginning, all my stuff laid out i the tub, to help contain my mess.

Picture two: is showing my soil mix that I am mixing in a seperate mixing bowl.

Picture 3: is a closeup of picture two, showing the mix.

Picture 4: is showing my grow pot, after I filled it from my mixing bowl.

Picture 5: is a close up of picture 4

Picture 6: is just showing the 9 growpots, all lined up and looking for some new tenants!

Picture 7: is a closeup of picture 6

Picture 8: all done, all I gotta do now is turn on the shower and rinse everything away.

Picture 9: is showing the stretched babies, lined up and readt to be moved into there new home.

Thanks hobo, I love you!
I figured I'd take a rest now, and write these posts, and than I'll resume the transplant and take some more pictures.

In addition, two of my babies look pathetic, one is all stem, and no leaves, the other is just sickly looking, but I am not tossing any plants yet, all 9 are going to be transplanted, and I'll hope for the best.

Heres a shot of the two sickly ones:
