such an exciting time, when you look and see taproots, and you know you can turn that tiny seed into a monster.

Okay update, with pics too!
1-18-2008
It's still 9 out of 10 germinating, for some odd reason, don't know why.
I left the 10th in the paper towel for another day to see if she pops out or not.

So, what I did was, to avoid a mess in the house, I used the guest bathroom tub to do my work in.

I started by laying out all my ingredients, they were out of domolite lime when I went to the store yesterday, so we'll go ahead without it.
Heres the supplys:

In the pic below, you can see a plastic bowl, I mixed everything in there. When I'm done, I can easily wash all evidence down the drain.

I then took my plastic cups that I'll be starting out in, and cut a couple small holes in the bottom of each one, very important! (never use clear cups either)

Here are the babies:

I than filled each cup with my soil mixture, and using a philips head screwdriver, I made a small hole in the center of the soil, an inch to an inch and a half deep, than I placed my baby's in, and covered them over with dirt.
Nine babies, nine cups:

Here they are in there new home:

Now normally I would veg under my hps lights, but the flower room is in use right now, so we'll be using cfl's for vegging.
Tomorrow, I'll move the lights closer.
Peace

Note: when starting out buy enough soil to make it all the way through the grow, it is my opinion, that changing the soil midway during the grow, to a different manufacturer's soil can be stressfull on your plants, so plan ahead, and buy enough.

It's looking great, I'll definitely be following and taking notes. I'm also glad you started yours pretty close to when I started mine so it'll be easier for me to gauge the progress. (I'm just using shwag seeds... I wanted to see what color my thumb was before I invested more :P)

You dont say what kind of lighting you'll be using? However, a 400 watt light needs about 500cfm

Ok, the tenth seed has finally popped. So I planted it, and contrary what most people do, I started feeding them today, a diluted dose of maxicrop seaweed. It promotes root growth. I'd rather start feeding mine early, but stop feeding them early too.
Maybe by the 6th week of flowering switch to molasses/water, than to just water.
Peace
