ok guys here are some pics from today.the first few are of the poor wee soul that seems to be shriveling? i discovered today that the roots are coming out the bottom of the pots but had no time today to re pot them. gonna get down there in the morning and follow pine boys advice, got some plain soil and get them re potted. i think it may be too warm as well but duh!! i left my new thermometer at home so will sort that as well.
they are not lookin too hot so hopefully when i get things sorted they will improve? man i need 36 hours in the day to get everything done!!LMAO!!

You will be amazed out how resilient MJ is , for example my plants went 7 days without water , were bone dry and wilting when i came back from vacation. I watered them once and went to bed and to my surprise and glee they were all perked up and happy.
Of course every time they have to recover it does stress the plant increasing chances of it turning male or just being weak. But with that being said , i think replacing the soil with some regular potting soil or even some pro-mix with some extra perlite and some worm castings would be even better.
Good luck

I think you are right on with the soil change Tracey. From everything Ive read people stay away from the MG Soil. Only because its time released nutes and you dont know when its getting any food, or how much food its getting? I have read of some people frying thier plants because of the soil being too 'rich' or 'hot'. I wish I could help you out here, but Ive only experimented in soil (1 time- in the middle of it right now ) So I have NOEXPERTISE in this area? Sorry Girlfriend! I grow in a passive hydro system (thats the fancy name for a mop bucket with a hole 2'' up on the side -) or in other words a 'Hempy Bucket'! Its a 'soiless mix' (3 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite, or straight perlite) Its almost a FOOL PROOF way of growing (take it from me who can be quite the fool sometimes ) Its growing Hydro, with the ease of soil. (Also WAY MORE FORGIVING than soil) I'll tell you more later

They need to be closer to the light sweetie. How close are they? What are the temps? Do you have a fan blowing on them? What have you fed them, if anything, Maybe they are hungry sweetie. but i think new soil is a good start.
Peace

couple things to know or improve a bit... if you like.
cheap PH down = Apple Cider Vinegar - I use a water tester (just like a pool water test, only smaller/cheaper). usually less than $10 at any garden store.
if you can't transplant from the miracle grow, for whatever reason... I'm just guessing here, but I would think that a heavy flush should get that MG soil to mellow out a little for you.
temp sounds great. I wish I could get down that low right now. fans are great for circulation and stalk, strength building too. I like my little girls to dance once they've graduated from the clone box.
I dig the cardboard walls. I use R-foam insulating sheets. Cut them down to needed size, already reflective and self supporting. I've used them for little momma chambers, like stacked playing cards and I've used it to build an entire room. the stuff is awesome and the many uses justify the $25 a sheet cost to me. check it out... hope any of this helps.
as noted... MJ is a weed and actually pretty tough to kill. Now... that doesn't mean they'll do what you want if you don't give them the love, but they can take and recover from allot. Just remember the more punishment they go through, the closer eye you need to keep for ***** (hermy).

you just did a brilliant job of pointing out the positives instead of the negatives!!!
i'll try flushing when i go tonight but i already bought 2 bottles of ph down so i darn well intend to use it!!!!!!! but i won't buy more i'll use the vinegar thing in future!!
i've got the water tester thing and using it freaks me out...lol!

Yes, Tracey, they will be fine....and just take the light down, put it in one of the boxes and leave it there. Make sure all plant things are in the boxes...even the plants can go in the boxes...no way should they look in them....and ask your friend to stay with them when they are in the basement. Don't over stress, Trace....it will be fine. Act as if you have every right in the world to do what you are doing and tell your friend to do the same....act nervouse you get a reaction, act like you own the world, no one will question you.
Peace....now breath! In and out, in and out; repeat!

Hi tracey take it easy and you will be fine. We all get stressed out from time to time with our grows so don't think you are weird or strange you are normal. I'm glad to hear the plants are getting better and growing like a weed. LOL Can't wait to see updates of them. Take care.

Rep Power: 92 | | Hi Tracey, Glad to see your confidence returning! Did you get them babies back inside yet? Did you have a hard time tearing down/setting up again? I have a GF who is doing a secret grow in her basement (1st time ever) and I'm helping her out as much as possible, without letting her know that I'm doing the same thing in my closet (no-one knows but Hubs, and Dad) Well, I go to visit her 1 day, and there are some men working outside her house, at the basement window that leads into her room. She rolled 1 and we were getting ready to smoke. Before she fired it up, I said "R you sure they dont have to comein for anything"? She said, they didnt say they were so I'm assuming they are not. She said You want me to ask em? I said WTHell, go ahead. She said "hey are youu guys gonna need to come inside for anything? They replied "Yes, we'll be right in. We need in the basement"! Talk about FREAKING OUT! I had to run down stairs, unplug the light. (Wich glowed for a few minutes still) hide the 3'tall plant. Moved the ballast and fan- but the lights were WAY tooo hot to try to move? So we hid the plant, and all the equiptment (Besides light) and let em in. They just went to her water heater and never walked into the grow room. THANK GOD! But it was a good lesson for us both! From now on, her grow room is a seperate room, and shes only using 1/4 of it. Were tarping it off and sealing it up. From now on, if anyone shows (As long as we have oder under controll) She will say thats her "dark Room' (As we both dabled in photography) WAIT, Dont open that- You will ruin all my film, paper, and chemicals! Its also a PERFECT EXCUSE for her to tell her lil' ones. It will give her an excuse for being in there, and give the kids a reason they CAN NOT go in there! About that PH... GET IT UNDER CONTROL! Your plants may be in a lock out from high PH. They will 'lock-out' and not be able to process any nutes. You should flush the crap out of em with some PH'd water. If they are in a nutrient lock-out, the flush will help. Once you get that PH under controll, them lil ones will Thank You BIG TIME! I seen someones lil seeling TRIPPLE in size OVERNIGHT after giving it a propper flush. Once you flush em good, it will help mellow out your MG Soil. Do you have additional nutes for em?
