looking good RS dont worry about the height that much. mine was like 10 inches when i started flower and now its more than doubled the size. im not sure of strain or anything like that so im no help there but as long as they have some decent inner growth it should be good. for higher yeilds that obviously another story. but in that container your space is gonna be pretty limited anyway.

Question Does anyone think... Rootlock?

Could my plants be root-locked? Could that be why they are so small at 5 weeks? They are each in gallon size pots. If I culled four of them and put the remaining two in 2 gallon size pots, would I get a better yield?

The bigger the pot the better the yield. You might want to flower them first to make sure you don't cull any ladies.

Later,

Have you checked the roots at all? I usually reccommend starting seeds in smaller pots. I find in big pots the roots just keep going and going without putting out leaves. It is truely too late now, but check to see if the roots are filling up the pot, if not, that is your problem. With a pot too big, you get areas that are dry, some that are wet and never dry and the plant will not gain hieght until the pot has more roots. To check the roots, just look at the drainage holes and see if there are any roots coming out. If not, then the day after you water well, Put your hand around the base of the plant and tip it out, it should come out easily, then you will see what they are like. If okay, just slide it back into the pot and carry on.

Peace

Default Nice Grow!

Hi Rolling Stoned!

Mind if I pull up a chair and watch your grow? I'm in the process of building one of these Rubbermaid grow boxes myself. Maybe I can learn something here. I think your plants look great!

I was wondering if anybody has tried to do a MicroSOG/perpetual harvest similar to what DrBudGreenGenes has in one of these?

Yep, the roots have not only filled the 1 gallon pots but the roots have circled around each other four or five times at the bottom. Hmmmm....What to do....?

hey RS, that 1 gallon pot.. is that the 10" diameter one you were talking about? i think it be time to transplant my friend, if thats the case that is. i transplanted from my 10'' pot around the same time you did and it blew up within a few days. try and get the next one to be big enough that you dont have to end up transplanting in flowering. not to say it cant be done, but you dont want to risk stressing it if you dont have to.

Here's a Picture of the one of the pots I'm using. I say "gallon" because they look to be about a gallon in size. They're 8" across the top. See pics below...These enable 6 plants to fit inside my grow tub. I'd hate to loose any more plants, but if I have to, I'll cull 4 and put the 2 in 2 gallon pots after I sex them.
