Default No smell, No sound, Not seen....indoors with scott

well the supplies are running low, and the summer outdoor crop was mostly ruined by mold and a panick harvest when utility workers were spotted near the girls.

I have a wonderful grow tent but it looks like a.... grow tent...

so here is the deal I have struck with my lovely partner

If it can't be seen, it can't be heard, it can't be smelled, and it is locked up...then grow away

so I went to a hotel liquidation sale and got a nice big used Armiore or Wardrobe or whatever people that know furniture call a big wood closet on wheels

It's dimentions are 3.5 x 2.25 feet and its about 7 feet tall

I would love to get some new equiptment from Hidhut but the wallet is not co-operating so the old CFL's will have to pull though again...but a 400w HID would be great in it!

So I am going to trick out the closet with vents, refective material or paints, a lock, an exhaust that leads to the outside, and all the other bells and whistles

Then I plan to fill it with a rotating cycle of mazar, blueberry, and bluemoonshine and use an organic soiless mixture very similar to Vid's now famous recipie.

The great grow jounals on this site have inpired me to try to document the construction of the grow cabnit and first crop...so hopefully in February some great harvest will be comming in...

So I will update with pics and expose my skills (and lack at times) to my bretheren (and sisteren) at GP.

Feel free to ask, comment, poke, prod, suggest, praise, querry, snub, or whatever floats your boat....

As for me I plan on just having fun! and documenting my step by step process and progess

well my first thought is to have the fan suck air from outside the grow cabinet. The cab itself seems to act as an echo or reverberation chamber...the trick I think will be to "suspend" the fan in its own "soundproof" box. This should cut down on the reverberations if not the fan itself...also from what I understand from hvac workers...straight duct work is quieter than duct work with bends....so straint lines everywhere.... luckily I have time to try a few set-ups before those budz start to stink so good.

Hey All to silents a fan you can try this,i made a box out off plywood. In side I put foam board and then placed the fan and hooked the duct oulets. In the lid I drilled holes in the corners and fill the box with crank fill foam in a can.You cant hear my fan at all.The foam board isolate the foam in a can making it double insulated and no noise.I did chaulk the foam board in place so there are no air leaks or noise.I use insulated air duct to exhaust with too so it keeps down the noise too..If you guys &Gals need step by step help pm me we work it out.Peace
