Yup,

I hope to have enough to pick and choose the best females from.

I have a dear friend who wants a few plants to learn with.

I hope to move the less fortunate plants over to his new grow.
I figure it is best to start with mistakes when learning something new.

Most are looking great so far.
It may prove to be a harder choice to make than I first envisioned.

The bigger plants are all Midx wwx shiva except for 3 Jock.

The smaller plants are just the original midgrade seeds I started with.

I can not believe how well the bigger plants are doing.

The ones I have crossed came from a clone plant that I was going to kill but, just ended up leaving it in the flower room.
It never grew hardly any bud.
As you can see though it did grow some nice seeds.

Here are the weekly pics.

The last pics were just a preview of this weeks pics.

I was just checking the date I started these.
They sprouted above the soil on the 24th of January 08'.
So they will be four weeks old next week.
I plan to go for atleast 5 weeks maybe six before I switch to flower.
The lights are at 14 off and 10 on right now.

I suppose I can spill the beans on the nutes.

I started adding nutes to the water when I water them.

In these lil solo cups I have to water them every day it seems like. Usually in a day in half they will go from soaked to bone dry.

I love this sphagum peat moss.

I would say 10cc/ml of each N,P, and K per 3 gallons of water in my 5 gallon bucket with 2 airstones going 24/7.

I like to take a solo cup and scoop out some of the nute solution and then add that diluted solution to atleast a half a gallon of water that has been setting out for atleast 24 hours.

So as you may see I am diluting the nutes down to trace elementals.
I have been doing this for 2weeks now.
I made a mix today with 1 and half solo cups of diluted nutes when I fed/watered them this morning.

They seem to love it.
I have yet to see any nute burns or yellow leaves.

Just happy as hell plants.

No pics.

I am a lil embarassed about their appearance right now.

I still have not seen any nute burn.

I am seeing yellow leaves on the lower branches of the plants.
To me this means I need to actually go ahead and start correcting the ph level. Should have started earlier.
Apparently they are not taking up enough N because the ph has it locked out.

I still have them all in the solo cups.

I have them on 12/12 right now.
They have been in flower that way for 3 days now I think maybe 4.

I want to kill any males or hermies and then pull the females back to veg.
As you may have quessed I am not in a hurry on this grow.

My only problem that I have not anticipated until now is that I could have more females than expected.
This would make weeding out the keepers a lot harder.

I hope to be able to sex by next weedend.

As strange as it sounds I hope atleast a few of them are male or hermie just to make the selection process easier for me.

yellowing can also mean rootbond after all you have to water ever other day. only reason i know that is i been there done that with solo cups after a couple weeks those plants roots need something bigger to spread out cramper roots sometimes cuase more males also from my exsperiance. also why did you put them to flower didn't anybody tell you all plants preflower at around a foot tall. i started seeds around the same time as you and i'm just waiting on the last couple to show there sex now and i did not have to put them to flower to do it either

Not sure on the sexing at one foot tall.

I do know they will eventually show sex in veg though.

You are right about the solo cups.
I will be transplanting this saturday.

I am growing this way because I want a larger selection to choose my clone moms from.
I am also in a confined grow space.

I have killed 5 males so far.

On the up note it seems that all of my feminized wwxshivax midgrade seeds are actually feminized.

Looks like I have atleast 9 females so far.

I am debating on wether or not to go back to veg for another month before I actually start the flowering process.

My main goal is to find the best moms for clones. I want atleast 3 really good moms. I would prefer 3 different phenotypes as well.

The rest of the 24 that are not given away or killed (male/hermie) will be flowered out for 2 -2.5 months.

Pics tomorrow
