Thanks toke! Yes. the ones I will keep inside I would like to put in 5 gal square pails IF I can find them. I have a few cat litter ones so far, but not sure if they will be big enough. I will just let the plants tell me as they grow. Thanks for taking a look! Yes, I am having a lot of fun. I dream about them! Then just want to get up and PLAY! I like the production of them. Kinda gets in your blood! LOL!

Default very ambitious operation!

very nice jangle, everything looks happy and healthy. i was wondering if you're planning on experimenting with hydro once you have everything running smoothly? DWC is a nice way to get your feet wet, LOL
anyway, after reading your thread from beginning to end, it seems to me you could benefit from a cloner to supply you with a steady supply. i hope you won't mind my throwing up a couple pics of one i just built.
it has a 2 gallon res into which i put 10ml of ThriveAlive B1 red and 2 drops of Superthrive (that stuff is EXPENSIVE). it has 18 stations and i've only had 1 run so far but 17 of 18 rooted. that's a pretty good ratio and it only cost $8.00 USD for the bin and $2.99 USD for the airwands (gonna upgrade them, not enough bubbles, lol) so total was under $15.00 USD.

anyway, thanks for sharing, very inspirational

Thanks bozo for the info. I don't know that it would be big enough for what I am doing. And I only need to clone a large number so far in the spring. The rest of the year it just might suit me. I am a soil girl so far, but that is not to say in the future I might not try hydro. I don't know.

I find with my soil recipe (thank you videoman for the info in your log) I don't even feed them. I just water. Unless I see a problem. Then I add to correct the problem. Usually if there is a problem they need potting up and have exhausted the nutes in the soil. So far it has not happened as I watch and pot up as needed. Or if replanting them I feed them to give them a shot in the "arm" so to speak.

I am just trying to KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID or KISS! It saves me a lot of headaches not having to worry who was fed what. I know they are in the right soil mix for the stage of growth they are at. Simple. and no fuss.

Default i understand KISS ...

LOL, if it ain't simple i can't do it. i'm just a newbie myself jangel so i'm no expert, i'll start a thread today with my own project for you and everyone else to pan! LOL.
anyway, that cloner is what I built for MY needs, the principles are simple and it can be scaled up or down depending on your situation. it's basically just a shallow DWC in my case. if you built a bigger one, it would probably need either a mister\fogger inside or some pvc and some sprayer heads. once the clones are rooted, plant in medium of choice.
ps: i take no credit for the design, lol, i plagerize shamelessly when i see a good idea. (someday you may see some of your ideas in one of my threads, i hope you won't mind, LOL)

Hey immitation is the highest form of praise! Be my guest! I am just here to learn and grow like everyone else. I find knowledge to me is like cooking: (By the way, I am an excellent cook!) After time you know what works, and what you like, so just combining whatever you wish is easy if you know that and what the chemistry is. The reason good cooks are good is because they are good chemists. Or scientists. They know the theory and go from there. A + B makes bread because the yeast produces c02, the wheat produces gluten and that forms bubbles to hold the c02 when risen and the heat (cooking) completes the chemical reaction. Simple. All chemistry. And I got 100% in chemistry in school! it is understanding the principles behind things, then we can take it all further. I like to think outside of the box. In college they taught us Lateral thinking. (I am an artist) This teaches this theory further. If you understand what you are aiming for then with a fresh mind you can expand on it and go further. One of my favorite phrases is "There are 360 different ways to look at an elephant." and the point is none is wrong or right. Just different. and that way we all learn.

i agree completely, i've tried to teach my children that it's only failure if they stop tryin'. I tell them the story of Col. Sanders and how he went on the road at the age of 67, i believe, living out of his car and motels and how he went to hundreds of restaurants just trying to get them to buy his recipe. How his many, many, many failures led to the founding of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
LOL
anyway, thank you for your kind words

okay folks. I have been busy with things happening and it is way past time for an update.

Okay, first off clones. I had 50 rooting in peat jiffy pellets. As I was pretty occupied for a few days without my realizing it out popped roots left right and center! So I potted them up and now have 27 potted with 6 that totally died, and the balance most taken more recently still devoloping. I put a florescent 24 inch t-8 over them and they are staying nice and green, rooting fast. I have a regular heating pad under the drip tray and they are in a dome with slots to open and close to help with humidity. Here are some pics. This was a few days ago and have not lost a one. The ones that where more developed are under my T-5 florescent light and the ones with the peat pots in the tray are under the T-8.

I have also seperated the boys from the girls. They are all outside, and hardened off, ready to go in the dirt. I plan to save the pollen. So far I have 12 boys out of 36. Not bad. A few I am still not positive on and they are inside with the ones under my big light. So I took 9 of the for sure girls as I had planned and put them in absolute dark for, I wanted 4 days but it was 4 and a half due to time constraints. They faired well, none look too bothered. A bit of smaller growth on the tops. I put them into my back shed, without a roof on to harden them off and get them used to ligh and being outside. I will take some pics outside tomorrow and add them when I get the chance. Here's the pics of the girls!. The last one is after I opened them up after the time in the dark.

I have tons more to add and will do so in the next couple of days.

Take care peeps!
