Okay, I have a total of 36 plants right now. I am trying to grow to clone and plant outside with some mothers inside. I still also have more seeds to start but want to get my flower area going first. I am going to clone BEFORE sexing and then eliminate the males once sexed. If you wish the breakdown I can type that in also.

Wow Jangle that is a BIG first grow....but my first grow was similar 'cept I used all the same strain (now I prefer smaller grows)....if you have the time and are fairly serious as you clearly are...I am sure you will do very well indeed....I guess you will have about 18 females....do you plan on saving any pollen?....or is seed access and price no problem?...I admire your ambition and look forward to following along...so far it seem more like "What to do 201" I am glad you are getting advice from Video...he seems to have a very practical approach that emphasizes results, simplicity, and economy...Keep up the great work.

Why thank you very much. As I said I usually jump in feet first then figure it out as I go. I have been making it a job studieing this so I just hope it works. I am debating wether to save a male from each or a clone to keep the seeds coming but I am of 2 minds on this. I might just try to pollenate a branch on each, with a paintbrush. How long does pollen last and is it viable for a long time or limited to right then?

That is really interesting. I pollenate my hydro tomatoes the same way. I did not know I could store my pollen. Jangel I can imagine what your place is going to smell like in a few months. what's your order control plan?

We are thinking of making a box filter with activated charcoal in the layers for one, or videoman's pail one I want to try first. I am going to see if I can find ONA up here in Canada. it seems the simplist to start with and if it works then hey! done! It is a pretty much sealed room right now but it might get warm once the weather warms up. They smell real pretty now! And temps are staying about 74 so no need to do nothin yet. Got the vent holes cut. and ready just need a few feet of piping to finish them. Thanks for asking. It is an evolving experiance.

One thing you have to keep in mind: I am growing most of these to be planted outside. So what looks like large numbers now, unsexed, won't be that large once outside. Hopefully there will be a goodly number of girls so we will see.

Okay, to the update folks!

Here are some pictures of the 15 that I almost killed. Take a look at the roots coming out of the bottom of the pots. I know they need potting up but have to wait till tomorrow when I have time without anyone else around to do them, plus I am almost out of RO water and will get more today. You have to have a lot of water for repotting to water them in well. So tomorrow they will get potted up.

Also, take a look at some of the leaves: I am not sure if this is a missing cal/mg deficncy or if it is just because they have depleted the nutes in the soil. Not all of them have this and they also looked a lighter green colour. I fed them all when I saw this and by the next day they looked better so I think it is they are needing fresh soil. What do you guys out there think? It is noticeble on the Ambrosia the most. This seems to be a sensitive variety.

Now, here are some pictures of the nursery plants. They too needed potting up. I did them all on friday. Here is the Lethal Purple. They are doing very well and tall with good root growth. I put them under the big light. They love it. Also, all the plants are now out of the closet and into the big room.
