Okay folks just started an outdoor post to help you that grow the green outdoors! The link is in the sig! I will continue this journal as purely an inside grow as I plan to go perpetual.

Time for an update:

My poor inside plants! I have dashed in to water and check them but aside from that my poor babies have been negelected. I have 6 now I am thinking to flower inside plus my clones who I plan to have supply my mothers. Here's some pics of what my ladies inside looked like and some LST'ing I did to them, to bring them down and make them bush out more. Looks sparse now I know, but it will be filled in I am sure within a short time. First is the before and then the after to TIE THOSE GIRLS DOWN!

p.S. The last picture is one that I showed previously number 13 and "she" popped nads and is now residing in boy place, outside! Oh well! But I love the shape of him! Goodbye 13!

Next my veg area: 18 healthy clones there that will go outside in a few weeks after they have been vegged. 24 inch T-5 ( veg tubes 6500K) with a bar of cfl's for side light and the taller ones. I have more cfl bars I will add as they grow. Take note of the hairs on the one little clone! Holy mackeral! Her mum is now planted and in full flower! I like it! These babies also need a pot up as the roots are coming out the bottom. Just no time! All will just have to wait! These clones are just off the chart! Started may 16th to 24th. can't beleive how well they are doing!

And I will show you some more of my propagation area set up:
I now have my flourescents set up. 3 tubes on the top shelf over some clones that are coming but not as vigourusly as the main crew of 18. I have a small dome I got from buying organic lettuce. I still have a few we have to eat the lettuce out of! LOL! Perfect for our needs.

And one tube over the clone dome, still some in peat pellets that I really have to plant up. All in time!

Been busy in the room. My wonderful man helped me to pot up all the clones that needed shifting to bigger pots. It was fun having him help! He is such a sweetie! They weren't as root bound as I expected them to be. I think with the curtain in front of the veg area they where getting too hot, as some of my leaves are curling down. I have added another fan and hope that solves it.
I have also added more lights to the veg area. I plan on vegging all my clones for a while to get them bigger before planting outside. This way hopefully they will have a better chance.

When I was growing in the closet before getting the t-5 I made several contraptions with cfl's. ( before coming here! LOL!) Here is one of them. It is made with 2 - 3 light bath fixtures and I used an old frame from a computor we used pieces of. I also saved the fan. The "bones" from the computor made a good frame to hang the lights from and held them sideways so that the plants can get a maximum amount of light. They get far more from the sides than from the ends. They are also sistered together so they work on one plug. My man did this for me as he does not want me killing myself with electricity! LOL! I now have it all set up and hanging from chains. Now I can raise and lower it as I need. Here's the pics.

All right! Next I have some shots of my babies. All the peat pucks are potted up and I took some more clones. I have 8 more clones rooting. Hopefully 3 of these will be mothers. 2 each from each of my clones given me by a friend, and 4 from one plant I put outside earlier in the week. I have just held these cuttings in water for a few days in my grow room. Still perky! Of course I re cut all the ends and dipped in rooting hormone. Now they are on the heating pad under a lettuce dome! LOL! That's all for today folks!

looking great jangel, is there water on that table or are my eyes just fooling me?

like the veg setup, it looks terrific and wish it would be mine as i overstuffed my little veg box again with 7 plants...

that fresh roots of a clone aren't as strong as the roots of some old plant is no wonder jangel, just look how thin they are and how long it took for the plant to grow the big root ball.

they will get there as well and probably faster then the mother plant.

Thanks green ! I really appreciate your comments. Coming from you, it means a lot. I admire your knowledge and experiance a lot.

It has taken time and a lot of effort but it is coming along really well and my original vison is slowly becoming reality. We still have more junk to move but I don't need the room and it does not bother me much so it can stay for now. And thanks for the props for the veg area. I was going to do it lower down but occasionally we get flooded so did not want that on my plants. It is a great hieght too, very easy to work on plants in there and move things around. I can get a lot of hieght too, by raising the lights. I really like it and it is a good size for my needs. I can also just use half if I don't need the whole thing. Eventaully (when I see money again) I would like to get another set of T-5's to put in. I like that they are cool and don't cause too much stress by overheating the plants, like cfl's do. IMHO.

If you mean is there water on the table with the clones? I think that is what you are speaking of, no, it is an old antique table with an enamel top, that is why it looks shiny. Works great in the grow room and it is so easy to keep clean. Perfect size also and great to have a work surface in there for doing things on.

Hey folks. It is June 16th, 2008. Here is what my girls, soon to go to flower look like compared to 6 days ago. First the pic from June 10th then 2 from the 16th. They have filled out so much and it looks totally different in 6 days. This is the soil mix. I swear. Thank you for your wisdom Videoman. I have learned a lot from you.

Next, I have most of my veg and propagation area set up now. I have worked on it bit by bit as I needed it. I had all the lights from growing and gathering them while I was in "the closet". I still have some cfl spots and one double light cfl fixture I don't need right now but might later on, so they are not shown. This is what I have running now, in this part of the room.

24 inch T-5 with 6500k tubes for vegging. on chains to raise and lower.(I bought this new)
2 bathroom 3 light bars attached to frame, w/ 6- 6400K cfl bulbs lighting sideways/on chains.(these where new and hubby wired them together, work on one plub)
1 bathroom 4 light bar for side light,w/ 4 - 6400k cfl bulbs for for back side light(I bought this from a salvage store, 2 bucks)
1 -12"florescent tube light w/plant/aquariam tube red colour for front side light T-8 (this is from a salvege store)

This is the veg area lights with a small fan at each end. I also have another fan I can add and plan to raise the fans up and hang them both. Nice cheap ones from Wallyworld. All lights are on chains with S hooks or metal shower curtain hooks. It is 2 ft deep, 4 ft long, and 32 inches high. LOTS of room to veg plants in.

On the side shelves I have over the weaker clones
3 - T-8 24" flourescents, 1 daylight, 1 plant/ aquarium and 1 warm red tube. (One, the double set, I bought new, the other single is from a salvage store) These are fine for vegging or starting seeds, not overly bright and will not burn, can grow touching bulbs. I also have a small computor fan blowing on the clones. Just a 3 inch one.

Over the clone dome I have:

1 -24 inch florescent daylight T-8 . (this is from a salvage store)

Well, had a bit of a problem with my inside plants. Last time I repotted I tried a different pro mix for my base soil. BIG BIG mistake. This promix had no peat in it, and seemed to have CLAY in it. WHAT a mess!

My poor sad plants! The water did not seem to wet the soil if they where dry. It was hard as a rock. I know I put 40% perlite into it, and thank God I did as that is what saved them all. I have been soo busy, with my outside grow and LIFE that this is the first time I have had to repot these babies. Now the plants look soooo sad! I also, like everyone else in North America without an air conditioned grow, have had major heat problems. I had to turn off my cfl's in my veg area as the heat was hitting the 90's and my plants where baking. I put half of my clones under my MH light. They are doing much better now. I left the 11 largest clones under the T-5 lights. Here's some pics.
