I have 22 plants under my 400watt HPS light...22 or 23 of them? Geez, I am actually not sure how many I have in there! Have to wait and count them when the lights come on....and today I will be checking trichs on the tallest ones. Last time I checked that bent one they where getting close!
7 large ones around the edges, in 2 gallon pots, LST'ed a bit to reduce the canopy hieght. These are the oldest, and the first put in to flower. I am working on an inverted bowl shape, allowing equal distance from the light for each plant...I could actually use more shelves or even a way to hang them from the cieling! LOL! The one with the reverse taco leaves went like that after I supercropped it's one branch. The rest of the leaves on the plant are not like that, just that one branch.
The rest if them are in one gallon pots. 16 of those. They are on a shelf in front of the light, and under the bottom of the light. I do not see any lack of light on any of them. Some of the side buds could be bigger, but they will develope once the bigger ones are cut. I will harvest as the trichs ripen. I am very pleased with all of the growth and bud developement. This is really fast. The first lot of budsicles I put in seem to be as ripe as the big plants are. As a matter of fact, they seem MORE developed, the budsicles that is. I am going to try to reveg the budsicles once I have cut the buds off. I will have to work on a bigger veg area for them as I also have clones coming along, which I will set to flower in stages. I will post pics of the clones later today.
Peace

You've definitely done an excellent job Jangel.
I'm drooling and doing some lip smacking. I'm curious, what happens when a seedling (new sprout) doesn't get light for the first few days...will it die or stretch a lot because it is trying to find the light?
Also, have you ever experienced light or lime green (very pale) color in new seedling sprouts? If so, what is the reason, genetics or could it have something to do with light?

If the new seedlings do not have adequate light they will stretch like spaghetti! And yes, that lime green is lack of light. It will go white even as there is not enough light to make chlorophyll, just like white asparagus. That is asparagus never exposed to the light. It will also encourage mold as well as the soil will not dry fast enough....get light on them in stages, not all at once or you will burn them. Put them a good distance away,at first, and gradually over a day or two, get them closer. It does depend what type of light you are using though. They need to be just at that sweet spot where the light is warm on your hand, not hot, and kept there.
Thanks Cam. Nice of you for taking a look!
Peace and thanks for taking a look!

One other thing: That brown stuff is cinnamon on my soil. I have been trying it, as it seems I have damn fungus gnats again! I did not want to do anything very drastic while they where in flower. I have other stuff I will be doing as well. The cinnamon seems to be working very well. I came in one day and had clouds of them all of a sudden! I spread as much cinnamon as I had, on the soil, and have kept it up. It seems to be working as they hate it! No new clouds of them. I have also used some diatomaceous earth on surfaces, around the plants, floors in the flower room, and on the shelf in my veg area. And a bit on the soil. It is getting colder in there, but not real cold yet. Soon I will have to start my heater.
It feels like we have not had any summer here. Well, maybe a week or two, but that is it.....oh well! This is one thing all growers have to just deal with. It was about 10c last night here, and going cooler by the week. I do hope the outside girls will finish, but I doubt it for all of them, so I am so glad I did not rely totally on the outdoor plants for harvest.
Peace

Thanks Piney! It has surprised me pleasantly! I might just go around and see what big flourescents my man has set up in his shop and steal some! LOL! T-8's are okay to veg under and he has a pile of them, 24 inch ones so they will work for revegging the budsicles....I hope. LOL! Don't tell him though! LOL!
He will not mind really as he has a new shop to work in so it is all good. And whatever we have to do for the girls is fine by him! LOL! I want to start some seeds soon. Have a couple new varieties to try so I am just busting to get some space and more vegging area. Now I am going perpetual. I like pumping the plants out. I seem to get disinterested with just a small number. It is more fun with a lot of plants for me. And exciting to always have buds coming along! I like that a lot! It sure gets your enthusiasm going when you have buds all the time!

Keep the good work!! | I found it was not accurate for me.....now, it could be I am not patiant enough or I cannot see well enough at that size. I had seeds I sexed as female turn male and seeds I sexed as female come out male. You can try it. I know some growers swear by it. But you really really have to see well to be able to seperate the subtle differences. Maybe a mircroscope would help but it cannot be too high powered, and it is time consuming.
And thanks for the props!
