I know but hate for good seeds to go to waste cause of my stupidity. Plus those strawberry cough seeds were expensive! I am wondering if I should pull help with the plant to take the outer shell off. I read some where that you can with the help of some water and a little finesse. I think I will give it another day or 2 see if the plant will do it on its own.

oh yea i wouldn't want to waste one of those either. i dunno honestly IMHO you've done all you can do, you just have to let time pass. my friend took the shell of a plant of his without finesse or water to my knowledge and it still came out fine.

Yeah.. it will probably be ok.. Just try not to handle the tap roots or any roots too much. The oil, germs, etc on you hands is not good for them. They should be fine but maybe a little shocked.. weed is pretty hardy. Don't sweat it too much.

You should have them popping their heads today if they where that far along. Just leave them babes. The die is cast and it is in mother nature's hands. You are such a good parent! But don't kill them with kindness!

my babies are growing!!!!! Just gave them some fertilizer. gave them a tbs mixed in a gallon of water of Earth Juice Grow, Earth Juice Bloom, a tsp of Catalyst, and 1/2 tsp of Meta-K. sorry about the bad photos. i need to get a digital camera. i used my laptop camera.

Oh I hope they will be okay! Seedlings should not be fertilized until those first water leaves have dried up and fallen off. And then only 1/4 strength. If they start to look bad, flush them right away. I am concerned you have burnt them with so much food soo young. Get back to us.

no problems so far. they seem to love it. I will be giving them just distilled water the next two watering then back to fertilizer.

Hey leap,

Lookin' good so far! Be careful, tho, that you don't overfeed them. I feed once a week with half strength until one foot tall. After that they will be able to handle twice a week at full strength. Everyone will tell you something different on this, so just go with what the plants use. A good rule of thumb: if it has shown no signs of growth (or only very slow growth) in a week it needs food.

As far as the trauma of replanting at such a young age, I can't tell they ever had a problem, so you handled a very delicate situation very well. Good job!!

Just go easy on the food, as 4kaan4 said, ya don't want to burn those babies.
