I have gone with a ruber made grow box with 8 cfl 26 watt lights. I am using 5 parts peat moss, 3 parts perlite, 2 parts worm cast, and some lime. I germinated my seeds in a wet paper towel and placed in zip-lock back with air. I put that in the closet for 24 hours. Checked on them and seeds cracked with root showing. So I put the seed in my peat cup with my soiless mix. It is day 2. Still no sign of life yet. Hopefully my two seedling will show tomorrow! I hope I didn't over water or under water. I gave them couple cap fulls of distilled water today. Yesterday when I put my seedlings in I poured a little water out the gallon of distilled and the soil kind of sinked in and peat cup down at the bottom got a little wet. I hope I did not over water yesterday. And hopefully I did not under water today with my caps of water! I really hope my two babes make it. I put them under the window sill. I hope when I wake up tomorrow something will show!!!!!!

Hey leap! I know how anxious you are! I was the same way with my first sprouts... The best advice I got was to fill a container exactly identical to the mix you have for your little seedling and keep it 100% dry. Then, do the "lift" test to see if your potted seedling weighs about what your dry pot does. If it does, it needs water. If it is a little heavy, she is fine. This is easy to do with small plants, and not so easy with the big ones.. but by then you will have the hang of what they want.

O no. I messed up bad. two of my seeds have shown but I planted them both in the same peat cup. What should I do???????? Need help!!!!! Would it be bad to try to take on out by hand and put it in the other cup??

ok so i took one out with the help of a pen cap. O i hope I didn't hurt my baby!!!! They both seem to still have shells still stuck on. Leaves have not shown yet. O my babies. Hopefully the one I transplanted will survive.

how big was the cup to begin with... i put two seeds in the same container for about a week or so and they were fine... but it was a big pot so i dunno... as long as you did it carefully im sure it will be fine. at least you have green thats all that counts right?

P.S. its kinda hard to tell whats in that pic by the way. lol

haha that explains the side of your head in the shot lol. if you have any seeds left from what you started with i wouldnt worry about 1 dying. personally i started with 5 and now have 3 so if 1 doesnt make it you're still good.
