The water bad? I am not understanding. Even water can get skunky. That is why some growers use air stones if they save rain water to keep it fresh. Otherwise even water can go stagnant. In this case are you just talking water or water and nutes?

thanks again jangel your becoming quite the savor of knowledge for me lol. i figured it could have been a tiny nute burn just because it was the first time i used any real amount of nutes. as i said i only used it once and i water (around the edge of the pot) with the normal water i use.

what i was asking in a rather stoned manner was, why exactly the nutes break down? from heat or just from being in the water for long periods of time.

Water is a solvent, H20 mixes with other chemicals and given time will form other new compounds, when heat or cold is added. Most chemicals will combine on a atomic level with oxygen and create new chemicals. As does hydrogen. Just plain and simple science.

Kinda like cooking is.

That is good. At least it isn't that I don't think, but to be sure, next time you water, wait till the end and then with the very end of the runnoff check that ph and it will tell you what your soil ph is. At least then if the yellowing contiues you can rule that out.

Peace.

how does that work haha :i dont get it: I mean from the sound of it, I was kinda thinking that maybe hermies only come from female plants and not male which would mean that a plant herm'n out means its a stress trait to show both sexes due to something. i dont know what that something is though. I'd like to do more research on this before starting those haze seeds. it would be nice to have the comfort of knowing that if i do it right i'll know, i will end up with bud even if it has a couple seeds.

Hermaphroditing is caused by stress and some strains are more susceptable to it than others. It is done by females only, and is the production of pollen sacs or nads or balls, whatever you wish to call them. A female can still have balls and have bud. Just ask ISO. If you keep your conditions optimum, and watch out, you can be relatively safe, but it is a trait of the ganja to do this so just have to live with it! And read up about it in the FAQ's.

Peace.
