i do have to say one thing that will probably bother a lot of people.

lights are lights.... as long as a plant has enough lumens to thrive off of i really think it could care less where its coming from. just because the amount of heat coming off of the bulb may be different doesn't mean anything besides the fact that you have to account for it. we gotta stop acting like our plants understand our thought process... cause they dont. IMHO, if it grows thats what counts not what someone else says is better, as long as its green.

You can also make the same arguement with fertilizer as well.

I agree with this statement to a certain extent so I figured I'd throw my two cents in. What I think is correct is the fact that the plants don't know the difference between the light setups because obviously it isn't possible for them to know but I still think the different lights give different results. HPS and MH lights give off a different spectrum of lighting then you get with CFLs but even so you can get pretty close to the same color temp if you find the right CFLs. I also think that the plant thrives better under a HPS or MH even if you had the same exact lumens next to it in CFL lighting.

For example 600watts of HPS versus 600watts of CFL regardless of whether it's the same color spectrum or not I still think that HPS will give better results. I'm not sure if this is definite but I have a good feeling that this is the case. Also usually CFLs are used in a light vanity fixture or some sort of setup where there isn't much reflection of light without adding some mylar or completely surrounding the plants with light. I think that a HPS or MH light will penetrate further to promote more inner growth then a CFL of the same power. HPS setups also come with a reflector but you could also get a reflector for a CFL setup. Even so I still think that HPS and MH reflects better no matter what you do....

In the end I still think CFLs are the best for a small personal grow but I definitely would love to have a nice HPS or MH to at least give the plants some loving during flower. I guarantee the results will be so much better then my previous CFL grow. Maybe someday I will find out and witness for myself!

Happy Growing!

ok so now that everything is dry and weighed i ended up with about 21 grams. then adding the 2 branches i smoked early all together it was around 23 total. next time around im going to let it go a little longer, and make a lot more changes.

i found a few immature seeds in some of the smaller nugs im hoping i can find a few nice ones before i run out. this obviously is proof that my first suspicions were correct in saying i thought she was hermying out on me in some spots perhaprs due to stress or late pruning or what have you. the smoke is good yet still leaves a taste to be desired im hoping that will help through the curing. it tastes a lot better than it did straight dried but theres still not that flavor im looking for. next time i hope to have more than one girl by flowering as well so im not stuck in the same situation where im waiting for bud from the plant... cause i can forsee that happening again.

Hey Sentra

A few immature or undeveloped seeds may not be the result of any pollenization...sometimes they just spring up, but they are not viable..the seeds you found may or may not be evidence of hermie problems depending on their viability

Also a good cure can take a month or longer, I am sure the flavor will improve.
and last but not least
Feminized Seeds, takes the worry and the guess work out...and for mico growers like myself...you really can't afford to have most of a crop turn up male a month or two into the process

Seems to me you have had a very successful grow in many ways....I look forward to following whatever you do next, and wish many fruitfull females..
