The only plants that I leached this time were 2 that I had vegging for several months. They were in the same soil and had lots of built up crap from the nutes I was using. The rest of my girls are in a very simple organic mix and as long as I don't overdo anything with additives, I don't think they will need leaching.

Patience is a virtue. That having been said, waiting for the rewards is the most difficult part of gardening. I have just 2 1/2 weeks to go, and it's the wait is excruciating. I've been doing this for a long time, and it never gets easier.

im thinking about doing a reservoir with a dripper system for watering. how long should i have it on for and how many times a day should it come on if i go this route. its not a necessity but i figured it would be better for a more even watering period through out its cycle. any one with help is much appreciated.

Are you planning on having hoses going into your plant from the reservoir?? I would not get too complicated. This is your first grow. I know you are excited, but slow down my friend! Keep it Simple Stupid ~ KISS (No I am not calling you stupid, it is just an expression) Just go one step at a time for these plants so you can understand the process. THEN add things to it. IMHO

you are absolutely right jangle. i was just figuring it would make it easier to water but i have no problem saving the cash for something else? any ideas on what i could put it towards? more lighting perhaps, or maybe something else.

You have the T-5's. So you have 3 tubes of t-5's and one of T8. You never told me what type of t-5's you have. How many lumens? Get more t-5's if you want to buy something. Just add to what you have. I have 6500k lumen tubes for veging and you need the lower ones, 2700k or 2400 for flower. Get those if you have to buy anything. And if you wish add more t-5 lights. Most fixtures for growing have 4 to 8 tubes in them. Keep adding to what you already have and you will not go wrong. You can add them to the walls as well to encourge side growth. You do not need them yet, but when that baby gets taller you might find them useful.

Peace

T-5 tubes are expensive, as are the fixtures, but worth it. Also try our sponser, Hid hut, for lights, especially t-5's for growing.

MAKE SURE YOU FIND OUT HOW MANY LUMENS ARE IN YOUR TUBES.

It is not always easy to find the lumens but they should be marked on the tube cardboard cover of the tubes. If they are not marked, don't buy them, as they could be not the ones for growing. Scott06 has a nice set, as does ISO2BWELL.

That is where you put your money, sweetie. If you have to save to get the right tubes, do that. Hidhut will mail or UPS them to you in a discrete package, and they are FAST!
