lol thanks friend. maybe you should start a journal of your own.
For those of you who read this thread this user is the person i was talking about when i mentioned comparing the 'regs seeds' to the 'exotic'. i started mine about 4 days earlier than his and they are about the same height. hes got all the pics so hopefully he starts a thread of his own. or even posts them here.

Yea I have a journal over at rollitup.org but I think I should move it here. As for being a USER that sentra was "talking about" he might be forgetting that I've known him personally for almost 7 years now and are best friends...or atleast i THOUGHT WE WERE!!! *tears* Haha jk but yea we both kinda took on this growing thing together and I decided to do a hydro setup for my first time just so I could jump right into learning setups that take a bit more work. I just really hope the best for both of us and I wanna see some dank buds!!! Hopefully you guys will help us.

Maybe you guys can shed some light on the plants. I am currently growing six plants at the moment. Three of them are close to the point that sentra's plant is and the other three are those haze crossbreed seeds that sentra was talking about that came from a hermy. They are about 2 inches tall at the moment so they still need time to catch up.

What I am thinking though is that two of the bigger plants are the same seed as sentra is using and the last of the bigger ones seems to be the "regs" seeds hes referring to. I honestly think he gave me two exotic seeds and one reg seed, you guys can be the judge i guess.

I'll move my journal over to this forum sometime today, so maybe it'll be easier to get questions answered since we both are at the same point.

By the way, thanks for the welcome guys.

Heres a few pics for now. The first two pictures are what I think is the same seed that sentra is using and the LAST picture is the plant that I think is a different strain because it seems to be just developing massive amounts of leaves near the main stem and not really expanding outwards much, whether thats good or not I dunno...The setup is basically a reservoir with an air pump and water pump which pumps water up a 1/2" hose to three drippers and they are light by eight 26watt CFLs 6500K 1600lumens and two Cool White 4' 40 watt 1800 lumen tubes. The growing medium is a perlite/vermaculite mix.

YUM!

I also was really bored so I photoshopped one of the leaves! haha

hey everyone, i had a question about the big fan leaves. some of them are blocking light getting to the inner branches with real growth. ive just been pushing them out of the way for the time being. i want to start LST'ing soon and then maybe take a clone or 2 from the bottom and maybe flower 1 after a week or 2, to see what i got. you can see from some of the later pics that the plant base is a leaning a bit to one side, im guessing it would be easiest to start pulling it in that direction. any advice?

Show me a pic hon and I will help you.

Leave the fan leaves alone as long as you can, just tuck them under, and lst'ing will open up the plant a lot. The trick with it is you try to bend the stock in a circle, gradually, one position at a time, like a clock, so ALL the side branches can get the light and grow to the same hieght. You can also just do it to one side, if you want, so then it looks like it is laying down, and it has the same affect. Then you can tuck the under branches to the top and they will reach for the light in just a few hours. It is amazing, you put them under the light with the light side, the underside up and next time you look, they are all turned face up. The fan leaves will dye back if the plant doesn't need them, as others grow bigger. You don't want to shock the plant so it is best to leave them. If they get damaged or start to yellow, remove them then.

thanks. i was reading the thread you wrote about LST and was wondering one thing. when you bend it to say 12o'clock once you are ready to move clockwise does the plant go back to vertical first or can you just move it over? sorry to word it so difficultly but i guess what im really asking is does the main stem end up looking a pigs tail or does it stay straight and just move it like a joystick of sorts lol.

What I did was let it go for a day. It usually straightens up a bit, then I bend it. This way you can let the plant adjust and don't stress it. Just do it very slowly, and do not force it or put too much wieght on it. You want to bend it, not break it. Gently, and slowly. I found that indica's where more flexible and sativas brittle, more likely to break and quite often have hollow stems as well, where indicas have woody stems, and not hollow.

Post a pic sentra, and I will help you.
