I have been keeping my strain alive over the winter by extending the Veg cycle.I've vegged this group for 4 months and transplanted into 3gl grow bags and Vegged another 3wks before starting the bloom. These ladies were ready to burst into auto flower if I had let them go any longer in veg.
Now I'm into week 1 of bloom and just look at the bud growth so far
I'm using my own blend of organic soil blended with worm castings and perlite.
I've been using Schultz liquid plant food 10-15-10 at the recommended dosage per gal.
But for blooming I've switched to Schultz Orchid Food(powder) 19-31-17
at 1/2 the recommended dosage per gal.
I've got the grow bags in a storage tub, this allows me to water my ladies from the BOTTOM.
I take 2 gals of nutes and add 2tlbs of molasses to one gal,mix well and feed the top of soil with this solution and dump the other gallon into the storage tub allowing the plants to soak up what they need(I also use a 1" layer of lava rocks in the bottom of planters, this will allow the plants to sit in a nute bath and keep their feet dry)
Well I'll have more good news next week.
Peace
And
Happy Trails

Looking fantastic Jonny, I dig the watering technique.I used to do submerge watering but my niehbors cleaned up thier yard . Now I feel eyes out there.
Good job
I am using a 6 bulb bathroom light strip from lowe's(13.00) with
bulb Y adapters,12-24w-3500K CFL's= 288 watts of CFL POWER
It seems to be working well so far...
Thanks
Peace

OK
If you haven't noticed the plants from the first pic's There is 8 total 6 in the tub and 2 in pots. I veg for another grower, and those 2 in pots have been relocated to his closet nearby. This allowed me to center my tub under the light and let these 6 ladies fill out a little more.I have pics of the other closet grow also, and will be taking updates as well...
I can't wait to see them,he has a similar light bar I built for him(His is 48watts smaller and has 2-6500K bulbs in it.)

I really like the lighting system your using, Have you found the electric bill to be a lot less with these lights,,, money is a big thing for me

But if you try sometime you just might find,
YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED
I have been playing with these CFL's since I started growing indoors, just for the ease of being able to buy them from anywhere...
It costs less to build then to buy HPS/HID systems,But everyone needs to understand that these don't have the lumens of the HPS/HID so light wont penatrate the canopy of the plants very well. This is my 1st attempt at a super cropped SOG grow using CFL'S.
I was talking with Rick Simpson and he is using a DIY CFL panel of 70 bulbs like mine.
But as far as cost it's maybe 15.00 a month for all my added equipment,I also run a Veg box that uses 2-4 bulb strips,1 on each side of a 450 LED red/blue panel. I use 4-14w & 4-24w 6500K CFL's in those strips. And don't forget my Bubble ponics cloner...

I took these over the weekend.
And I like what I'm seeing, look at those long hairs poking out everywhere.
I bought a new camera for this grow, and it has a SUPER MACRO setting on it and you can get as close as the lens touching and focus in perfectly,I only have it set for 5 MP(It's a 10).I also picked up a video microscope.(don't know if I'll need it now)
ENJOY these pics.
Peace
and
Happy Trails

My ladies Sisters are doing very well in a closet set up similar to mine.
I visited them over the weekend and took progress pics,And are they doing great(They are not getting Molasses and their temps are hotter by 10* running in the upper 80's/low 90's)They have a lot more room to fill out(I've got 6 in the same size space)
This is my buddy the "Suburban Grower"
An old Hippy from the 60's,served 2 years in country 1967-1969.
Now Disabled due to COPD...(toking helps him cough up the Flem)
This will be our second season growing together.
I clone and vegg and we bloom together,so that's why they look the same...
Enjoy

Hey Jonny What's Up!!!EH!!!
Looking Good My Brother, Hey The Suburban Grower, Wasn't He On A Special Like On 60 Minute's Or Something Like That, If So, WOW!!!,,He Has A Amazing (Really There Are No Word's To Describe) Operation!!!
very nice bro, i've been using light bars like that for a while now and i love them.
i have to admit though that i recently bought 2x 150watt HPS lights from
Econolite for $20.00 each, at that price i couldn't pass them up.
(sadly, they've been discontinued although the bulbs are still there at $5.95 each)
i'm working on a new cab which will be powered by those 2 150's inside a
DIY cooltube so look for a thread after i move.
here's a couple pics. it stands 60 inchs tall, it's 19 inchs deep and 33 inchs
wide and i plan on running a DrBud style SOG with 33 ounce 'pots' (DIYed
from Smartwater bottles)
1) the outside 2) the inside bottom, as you can see, i'm still painting it.
the cab holds 11 rows of 5 bottles and i already know i can pull 1\2 zip per
bottle with CFL's so i'm hoping that 300watts of HPS will yeild even better.
if not, i'll just go back to my trusty CFL's, lol.
anyway, sorry to jack your thread my friend, your ladies are looking sweet!
