Default Madman's First Grow

Ok here we go. Below are a few pics of my little girl 1 week into flower. Does anyone know what strain it is? Believe it or not I got this as a clone at the end of May it was about 6 inches tall and pretty beat up. It was vegged under Flor tubes, 4 of them 6500's. It is flowering under 4 55W PLL55 3000's that I got from HTG. Jangle not sure if you can see the chain but I started LST'ing the top so the canopy is the same height. Hope I am doing it right. This plant is very dense, it is just now opening up a bit. Also is a clone that I took from her on June 24, She is going to be another beast...lol Let me know what you think.

There is no right or wrong way to do this. If you are getting the highest cola down lower then you are doing it right. Just keep watching it and if you have questions, either post them here or in my thread. I cannot see where you have the chain, but the plant looks just great, nice and healthy for both of them! Good work, Madman!

If you still have doubts try and take a pic of where the chain is, and of course I will give you any help you need.

Good job!

Hey madman,

Great looking girl. Nice and bushy. IMO it is not possible to determine the strain from a photo. However, because of the short, dense growth, I would venture a guess that it is Indica dominant. Doesn't the source of your clone know the strain? Either way, you will have some enjoyable smoke.

Pappy,

Got the clone from a friend of a friend who got them from a friend. There were 2 different kinds one was short and bushy and the other is tall lots of space between nodes and narrow leaves. I am guessing the taller one is a sativa. I have germinated a couple of PPP seeds that I got from Nirvana. One has popped still waiting on the second. I am hoping that I can keep that PPP on the short side. I guess anything is possible.

Happy 4th!!!!

You should be able to keep that Power Plant at a reasonable height. It is one of the strains I grow, and smaller plants can yield quite well. I recently harvested 3 small ones (tallest 26") and took 5-1/4 oz. from them. HERE - http://www.greenpassion.org/f16/firs...ss-total-5725/

Great looking grow Madman! FWIW, you might consider trimming up the lower parts of the plants, so thatw ay they can put their energies into bud, up top where the light is. It helps!

ISO,

What should I trim, the lower branches? If so how far should I take it? Will it put the plant into stress? Checked out your link, those are some nice buds, hope my PPP does that well.

Madman

ps. ISO, what were the height of your PPP when you started to flower to get them to top out at 26"?

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Madman,

very nice guy. lookin good...you want to trim off any of those lower branches that are going to take energy that the plant could put into canopy nuggets. it does help a lot. just cut off anything that will have to stretch pretty far to get to the light. you wanna do this in veg if at all possible so you dont hurt it. good luck keep postin
