Hi there I wanted to start a new grow journal. I learned so much from my first grow. And, I'm not waiting for meds anymore so no more pressure to get to the finish line with these.
I will be using pro mix this time round with 1 exception. I picked up a hydro grow pail and have a plant in it as my own hydro experiment. Of course I will stick with GH nutes thanks G for them.
I have them under 4 4' T8 floro's so they have some gr8t veg lighting. Double what I had my other plants under first grow.
I had some seeds I got for my b-day they are Black Ice from HGS. I had also received some Sno Dawg and Jack The Ripper. And it took me 3 attempts to clone the 5 other plants I had from my first grow so I wouldn't lose their genetics.
I will be putting these into flower very soon. Would like to take a couple of cuttings for clones next week I hope then they go. They will be much shorter starting in flower this time.
Here are some pics I took last Thursday or 4 weeks into veg.

I have a few palm trees that are clones of my first grow and they are alive. Palm Clone 1.jpgBigger Palm clone.jpgAnother Palm Clone.jpg

And this one is for sure a baby girl that has started to flower Flowering in Veg.jpg | | The Following 8 Users Say Thank You to I8ntLucky_UR For This Useful Post: | |

They are growing really nice I must say. I'm looking forward to the heavy Indica.

Hi Lucky my friend,
You asked me if you should use H2O2 in your hydro grow, and I would answer from my experience and what Hatch taught me. If you have a problem use it in the right dosis. My nutes are mineral (I have avoided using organic as it created mold in my rez). So I can use it everyday without the fear of killing "good" bacterias. On the other hand, H2O2 is a good way to add O2 to your plant roots very much needed in hydro, plus with H2O2 you are keeping undesired mold from obstructing your lines.
Please, check this link (the PDF) it will tell you how to use it. But remember one thing, dosage IS very important. Too much and you will hurt your plants, too little and you will hurt your pocket (you will not get what you paid it for) You can buy H2O2 at any Drug store, way cheaper

Peace my friend, and BTW those ladies look very, very nice

Thanks 4ever I appreciate your input like I said first time with a limited hydro experiment. I saw that link to the site on Liquid Oxygen and I do have H2o2 at home I believe 3% solution. My res is pretty small at 10 litres in a 21 litre pail.
I'm thinking not more then a few drops should be okay? I just changed my res today after the first 2 weeks. The water with nutes was free of odor and slime/bubbles froth so I think it must be in okay shape. |

Hi Lucky.
A few drops of 3% is like nothing. I do add 0.5-1ml (safely) of 35% per lt. So you should be safe at 6 -10ml per lt with a 3% solution. That is what I was suggesting you when I said that too little will not do any good
If I were you I would start with 6ml per lt of a 3% solution, and add on little by little daily dosis up to a max of 10ml per lt. Believe me it will not hurt if used correctly
It will keep the root zone very oxigenated and clean
Peace my friend

Peace my friend | Thanks my friend like I said some of this is well almost a different language right now. I think I was looking at that from the wrong end.
So if I were to add this 6-10ml / litre I should only add 6-10ml per day for 10 days = 10 litre res? Then at the end I would replace res at 14 days and start over same dose regardless of nutes?
Can you put too much in?
I really love this pail and I'm already thinking about a bigger unit. LOL I just found moving the 5 gal pails full of dirt was rather difficult for me. My hands are kind of messed up.
Thanks again for the help 4ever.

Hi Lucky,
I do it like this. I add water to my rez, add H2O2, then I add Ca and Mg (my tap water is very low in minerals, it comes with less than 100ppm), and then I add MINERAL nutes, and later I Ph the rez
I add H2O2 in a daily basis, and it keeps everything nice and clean. I will ask Hatch to paticipate as he uses 3% solution too, and you know he is an encyclopedia
Peace
Added: Understanding dilution: To grasp the dilution factor involved in "store bought" H2O2 products: One bottle of H2O2 35% is the equivalent of 4 gallons (512 fluid ounces, or over 15 liters) of H2O2 3% -- or 32 standard 16 fl. oz. bottles

Ya Bro Like 4evergreen Has Said, If You Have 35% h2o2 .50ml To 1.0ml Per Gal.,,,,And If Its 3% h2o2 10.0ml To 15.0ml Per Gal.
If You Use Organic Nuts, I Use It Kinda As A Flush/Disease Prevention After Every 10 To 14 Day When I Change Res'zz, I PH The Fresh Water Add The h2o2 Run It On The Regular Watering Schedule For 24 To 48 Hours, Then I Start My Organic Schedule.
If The Nuts Aren't Organic You Can Use The h2o2 On A Daily Schedule & Is Very Beneficial.

Thanks Hatch for the help. I'm using the GH flora series 3 bottles you mix I'm thinking these are not organic. They absolutely love the stuff I can tell you that.
My res is 2 gal or 10 litre so I can add 20 ml of 3% H2o2 all at once or break it up over a few days? Can I put too much in?

You Are Right, I Don't Believe They Are Organic, & Ya With Your 2gal Res You Will Add 20ml To 3oml Of 3% h2o2, And Ya You Can Get To Much Of Anything, But Of The 3% Just Guessing I Bet You Could Put A Whole Bottle In & Not Kill Them, They Might Not Like It But I Bet They Would Live Through It..

I wanted to do some transplanting today to get ready to flower starting Saturday. I rearranged my flower room as I didn't like the layout at the finish of my last grow.
Here are the new ready to flower plants are not sexed at this point but I took a couple of cuttings and will take a couple more by weeks end.
Here are the 2 Black Ice.
This one looks like a girl and gr8t roots too! Black Ice 1 roots.jpg Black Ice 1.jpg Black Ice 1 Top.jpg
Here is the other Black Ice but looks male and very tall. Black Ice 2 Male maybe.jpg
