Rep Power: 329 | | justanother multi-strain, micro-SOG, ...bozo style!
well, the cab is all but finished, close enough to put it to work at least! lol.
anyway, it's been so long since i had anything in flower i just couldn't wait
any longer!
so i flipped some plants last night, 20 in fact, to give myself a head start.
the plan is to start 5 plantlets per week, each in a 33oz water bottle, ala DrBudGreenGenes, it was his work, documented here that changed my
whole approach. ...he was already doing what i dearly wanted to do!
anyway, as i said, i'll be starting 5 new plantlets every week and, as i have
several different strains, i'll be running a different strain every week.
i'm also gonna try and keep detailed notes and i'll be trying things like topping
and not topping, to compare yields, lets say.
i also plan on taking pictures every week, of the new ones being started as
well as updates on all that are already in flower, again, to try and track what
works and what doesn't, i'm really wanting to go organic!
anyway, rather than rambling anymore, let me just say that my new bud box
has room for 11 rows of 5 pots each, for a total of 55 pots, so, with me
starting 20 today, that leaves 7 rows of 5 per week to fill the cab and then
i start pulling some of the nicest stuff i've ever smoked! ...man i can't wait,
lol.
pic #
1) here is a group shot of the '5' i'll be paying attention to as the first week
of my cycle, they are all from the same Lemon Thai mother and they are all
from 7 to 10 inch's tall and 8 to 11 nodes.
2) these are 4 Chocolate Diesel x Lemon Thai and i've grown clones of these
before and it's very, very nice, a definite keeper!
3) here's a couple of White Rhino #5's from mothers of plants i grew from seed,
...i popped 5 WR beans and all were female and now that i'm moved, i'll be able
to devote enough attention to decide which to keep and which to
cull.
4) here's a couple Banana OG Kush, ...i haven't tried this yet so i'm anxious
to taste it, it really sounds interesting!
5) here are a few AK99xFriezeland, ...again something new i've not yet tasted.
6) & 7) are a couple of KaliChakra that i've never grown but i have tasted it
and if it comes out as nice when i grow it as it was when InPotITrust grew it,
it'll be a keeper as well.

Very aggressive bozo I can't wait to watch you succeed! Very nice strains.
I see the bottles are clear do you worry about light on the roots or are they so close together light rarely penetrates down to them? I have read lights and roots are a no no but I have no experience with how you are growing. Thanks. | | The Following User Says Thank You to I8ntLucky_UR For This Useful Post: | |

penetration, ...once it's full, very little light will get down to the root level.
frankly, i've been growing in 2liter coke bottles for quite a while now and,
in the beginning, i used to tape them all up with black duct tape to protect
the roots but, as i grow SOG style, leaving the bottles clear for such a short
time hasn't seemed to hamper growth too much.
here's a couple shots of my bagseed, clone to my first ever successful grow.
...it was about 2, 2 and a half years ago, i think. ...as you can see, it is still
growing vigorously, lol.

Thanks for the answer bozo like I said there are many styles I just don't understand so I can only ask bits and pieces to get an idea.
I try and check out all different grows (different then mine that is) to see if there is going to be another direction I might evolve to one day. Some, like yours are very interesting.

and please, don't ever think i'm unwilling to answer questions! ...and your questions
are always on topic and help to move the thread forward in an informative
direction so never anything but helpful!
i even like answering noob questions, ...i just don't always give easy answers, lol.

thanks man, glad you stopped by and i hope you enjoy the show, lol.
oh yeah, 12 cuts per week sounds like an awful large micro-grow, lol.
btw, here are a couple pics of some of my CFL buds from before i had to
shut down so i could move, i think these were from almost a year ago
actually.
anyway, i'm growing under 300watts of HPS now so i'm anxious to see if
my buds grow bigger and denser than my CFL buds.

Looks like your grow is off to a good start. I can't wait for the smoke report on the Banana OG Kush, did you start the banana from seed or did you get clones?

clone, the only exceptions are the White Rhino's and the Pure Power Plants,
those are from seeds i popped back on Dec. 1, 08.
oh yeah, almost forgot, i still have a clone of a bagseed i popped about 2
years ago, i saved it because it was my first 'successful' grow and my first
successful re-veg, lol. ...i guess i'm just a sentimental fool, lol.

i figure i want 50 more, i need extras for the plants waiting to go in!
unfortunately, they sell here for $1.49 so that would be $75.00!
while i won't like spending that, when i think of how much i spent on pot
before i started growing, and the low quality too, i am comforted, and i
buy a few more, lol, until next week, when i buy a few more!
in truth it's a small price to pay for the killer bud i grow in them!

i expect to yield about 14 grams, dried, per plant and i plan on harvesting 5
per week, so, with a different strain every week, i'll have all the variety i'll
need, lol.
if you go read through DrBud's thread, linked in the first post in this thread,
you'll see where i got the idea. ...you'll also see he is yielding about 14 to 18
grams per plant and under nothing but CFL's.
i'm actively expecting the lower number while hoping for the higher, lol, as
i'm growing under 300watts of HPS and not CFL's.
lol, wish me luck!
