Rep Power: 166 | | You can top anytime you want during veg....I do it after I get about 6 nodes. Let them recover a couple weeks before going to flower.....Whenever you decide to prune. |

Hey all, great news. My circulating fan broke down on me, now 88F in the box. WOOHOO! In other news, the babies are almost 4 inches tall with 6 or seven nodes(I thought they would be taller and stretchier by now). I should have my plexiglass "bulb-heat inhibitor" in place by the time I post more pics on Friday. I'm also planning on getting a new fan to replace the busted one, hopefully soon.

I don't want to sound rude, but I figured that out already, and have since uploaded those same pics.

STILL couldn't find a fan anywhere, so I finally bit the bullet and did my plexiglass idea; basically just suspending a piece of plexiglass just under the lights with a couple inches of room on each side for air flow. As Borat would say, "Great success!". Temps have dropped at the top of the soil from 83 to 76. I will have pics up a little later, can't do anything now since MLS final is on, not to mention football. Babies themselves are doing great, nearly six inches tall and the training I put them through has started some great lower growth.

Ok, games are over or just beginning, so heres some pics of the plants from today and the plexiglass. I attached a small piece of plexi to the aluminum that holds the light sockets, because I was "out of my mind" when I did this and didn't measure before I cut but just eyeballed it.... dumb. Anyways, then I have a bolt through the first piece going through the main piece, with a nut on the end. It gives it a little room to fall down and allow a little more airflow. The babies are doing great now, especially after their time in bondage. There is new growth all along the sides.... I definitely think I am going to do that again, probably for longer than a day and a half this time. (In the pics, bottom right and going clockwise are 1,2,3,4,5). The closeup is of some of the new growth on #1. Thanks for the website, toke. Looks nice. Thanks all!!!
P.S. The ones on the right are lighter only because they are much closer to the light in the pics.

Hey all! New pics for everyone after my three day vacation. They're the right size for me now. Tomorrow I plan on going to the store to get some supplies, and I'm going to create a new veg/clone/mother box. When I am done with that I plan on taking two clones, including the top, off of every one of my babies. Then I'm going to give them a week to recuperate and put them on 12/12 light. In the pics, its number 1 thru 5 starting from the bottom right hand corner and going clockwise, and the closeup is of #5, the one that started off deformed and is now the largest one. Hopefully, I'll have more pics tomorrow if all goes well. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Finished my clone/mother box finally. Pics/discussion of that in the next post. I have a couple questions about cloning first, plus others.
1 - Do I NEED to make sure no light gets to the forming roots?
2 - Should I use Superthrive in the water I give them?
3 - How many nodes MUST I take off the original for the clone to root?
4 - Heat mat or no heat mat?
5 - Is it okay to use tap water when leaching, which I plan to do after taking the cuttings?
6 - Any ideas on what is wrong with #2 (closeup)? I'm thinking either PH or overwatering. It's the smallest plant, and I water it just like the others.
The other pic below is #1-5, clockwise from top right.
Thanks everyone. I'm getting really excited about starting to flower soon!

Hey all, pics of the clone/mother box I just built. I used only a 5 inch handsaw and a cordless screwgun and a hammer. Much of the cutting was done by Lowes, but that will never happen again, since they were way off on some the cuts. Like a piece that I wanted 14" wide, but is actually 13.75" on one side and 14.325" on the other. Anyway, the outside dimensions are about 20wX20LX18H. A 25 cfm fan and two light sockets round out the deal. Cost just under $60, including bulbs. Let me know what you all think, or any suggestions, or any questions. Thanks all!
