sweet. im diggin the smell the ICE have. kinda skunky/musty...hard to describe but cant wait to taste it! how do plan on harvest/dry/cure ?

YEA! i got that smell too, realll dank rich smelling, almost doesnt even smell like pot. im thinking about chopping down the plant thats further along in about a week and a half, and 2 weeks on the other one, im gonna switch to straight water in a couple days. im gonna chop each branch off, trim the leaves, save the trimmings of course, hang for 6 days, cure for a week or more.

dude sounds good to me im close to doing the same. i think i have about another week with my ICE and they will be so ready to get chopped. i love the smell man! you right though its unlike any bud i have ever smelled before. gunna be some dank ass nuggets i cant wait to celebrate! keep it up...im gunna be sticking with ICE for the the next 6 months til my lease is up. i have really been thinking about how im going to transport some clones with me on my move cuz i doubt im going to want to give up this strain. soon we will both be enjoying some supreme smoke my friend

Thank you. I wouldn't say its patience, my room is setup to harvest a bout 8 ounce every 2 months, which is more than enough for me

. I'de say its more experience from failed grows under my belt, that allows me to grow with conviction and determination.

Its that time! im going to start slowly diluting my reservoir day by day for 4 days, then change to straight water and maybe a tiny bit of carbo load and/or organic activator. This will allow the plant to use up its stored nutrients, to have have a more pleasant taste and smoking experience. i will let the unit go for 7 days with just water, and then 3 or 4 days with no feeding at all to let it use up any left over stored nutrients.

Any better suggestions for a way to prepare for harvest?

Right now only 2, so i should expect at least an ounce per plant. But my grow has room for 8 for the next harvest. i got many clones and new seedlings cookin'.

Just a little update. Tomorrow i am switching to straight water on my furthar along ice. ill keep that for a week. Im going to continue feeding the other girl at 800 ppm for another week, then give it a week of water feeding.

Clones are coming along nicely... and 2 out of the 4 new seeds i started have shown their pre flowers..

I GOT GIRLS!

i have faith that the other 2 are also. so im going to have some plants from seed, some from clone 8 total in my next rotation in the flower room.

oook its been a few days of straight water for my furthar developed plant. The leaves are losing their pigment as expected so the plant is using its last bit of stored nutrients for thc development.

My question is.... should i trim off the yellowing leaves and let the plant finished partially manicured?

If a leaf is yellow it doing no good for your plant. I always trim dead/yellow leaves.

i agree, but the whole plant is yellowing because im using only water in a hydro setup. so im basically going to trim alll of the main fan leaves yellow or only slightly yellow, because it is days from harvest.

ALRIGHT. i kept staring at this 3 cola top saying "i made this" such a great feeling. this bud looks absolutely killer... some hint of purple in the calyxs rich brown hairs, cloudy to amber trichomes... WOOOT!!@#$)(UD)*USAD)FIJH#$E

Those are absolutely georgeous! I wish the pics were better, but I can see plenty just in the ones you posted!

BTW, I agree with you on the bittersweet part of the harvest. We baby our plants till the grow up, care for their every need, and then kill them and consume them. Just doesn't seem right...but that is the way of the chain-of-life, no?

Still, I want to hold a small "wake" for every plant I harvest.

YEA! harvested the furthar along Ice plant. It was hermie, but im pretty sure the pollination was kept VERY minimal, heres a link to the harvest thread.
