| taking a stab at growing 4 each from seed. seeds suplied by HighGrade-Seeds.com fast secure shipping. Indoor trying organic for the first time t12 - 2ft and 4ft flourescents 18/6 seeds soaked overnight in shot glasses. put into wet paper towel squares and placed 2 inches above my small aquarium heater. 48 hours later, 2 WW and 1 NL5 have sprouted. I put the 3 early beans into the perlite potting soil earthworm casting mix with fresh water.

| I can only guess on the temps. I believe the warming mat I have is rated for +10 above ambient. The seeds are in paper towels, on a 9" plate which is about 1.5 inches above the mat. I recall reading mid 70s is ideal. I figure if my clones can survive using a heating mat, then seeds can take it too. so far 3 of 8 have popped. Hopefully today is nice to the rest of the beans. NL5 is something I recall fully enjoying back in 89. Yes I believe thats what helped calm my nerves after the Loma Prieta tremor. As for the White Widow, its a favorite of someone close to me so what the hell. I have added the task of updating this thread with pics at least weekly to my google calendar, so now I just have to log into that and I have a chance...

| 4 ww and 3 nl5 sprouted. removed seeds from soil and put into rockwool. I manually removed the sprout from the last nl5 seed and put into r/w, yesterday. 2 ww got mushy stem and died. (i think I tracked the issue to the rockwool being too wet) The rest are sitting in my cloning tray/dome along with 8 freshly rooted strawberry cough cuts, cant complain about roots after 4 days. I will include photos if/when I locate my memory card. doh!

| and strawberry cough.....I can't wait to try some of that....excellent rep for the quality of the high its easy to loose seedlings due to damp off (when the stem rots and it falls over) that is why some don't like the dome - humidity is too high for safety | ||||||||
