this hempy grow is in a great shape, hard to believe that 4 CFLs and 3 T5's have such lumen power

me too. the thing i only had to do was the hand test for heat. other than that i try to space out the cfls, front to back to get an even distribution of light. i'm sure if i used only cfls like i had prior, the grow would be more lengthy because of the heat difference.
thanks for stopping by,

p.s.since this isn't a true hempy, anyone got any ideas for a new name? i was thinking "the stoners home-made water table".

i've read some journals about growers using MH throughout the grow and having more resin production than HPS. I understand that HPS is ideal for flowering, so i'm wondering if there is anybody who has experience with this type of thing.
What i am hypothesizing is that since the last two weeks the plant is putting on mass, i can add more blue light to encourage resin? My reasoning is that since the flowering has somewhat ended the plant would, assumingly, not need as much orange/red light. The plant is suppose to divert its energy from flowering to maturing???

I'm keeping the nutes at 1/4 strength. My reason is because the girls are not voluptuous from top to bottom...only the top. I figure the less food, the more energy put into where there are already buds. She appears to be fattening up, but i caught Acez bug and am starting to watch them grow every second. Pistils are turning to orange, and i think new ones are popping out at the same time...don't know if it is, but if it's not possible somebody let me know. I'm around 30 days of 12/12

After paying closer attention to the girls, i found that the more stretchy one is drinking water like how i drink heineken. What i originally assumed to be both girls receiving watering every 3 or 4 days turned into watering 3 or 4 days for the shorter one and maybe 2 or 3 days for the stretchy one.
As far as how they look, the original cola's are starting to fill in, and both the former main and lower colas doesn't look they're growing because most of their hairs are turning orange...Trichomes are still clear on where i checked.

Watered the two girls with plain water. The shorter one usually drains about 1/4 of the water i give her, but last night she didn't really drain much at all. She must of been thirsty.
The Stretchy one is still doing her thing. I had to slightly pull the higher cola down since shes reaching for the light above.
They are both startin to smell yummy

this is from feb 4 which is about 37 days of 12/12. I really like some of these pics. The fourth picture reminds me of the girl soma has on the cover of his book. When i "accidently" rubbed her with my finger, oooohhhhhhh she smell so good.

these are from earlier today...lights on then lights off. 44 days of 12/12. I didn't get a close up, but trichomes are mostly cloudy. Thanks to the wisdom of Hatch i won't be checking every day but every 2 or 3 days. Starting my flush tonight. I drained the water in the resevoir so i can start. Tonight i'll be watering both girls with molasses and water the rest of the way.

i know there hot. the temps have peeked at 87, but i'm pretty sure it's the radiant heat from the CFLs. It's the same problem i had with my Citral grow except the Citral started canoeing. So far this grow, not too much harm so no foul.
My flowering lights are four 26 watt CFL 2700K, two 24 watt T5 2700K, and two 24 watt T5 6500K. about 200 watts of fluro. For future grows, i plan to use this area as a veg/mother until i get a second cab. But for flowering i'm gonna do the mills pride action. I have a 250watt HPS, 180cfm exhaust. why am i not using it now? I'm waiting till i get my house purchased. Come on Obama!
i've read the 250 MH thread on ICmag, and although their buds look fluffier than HPS, it does appear to have more resin content.

Rep Power: 201 | | Your girls look awesome Kaili. Great job. I have flowered under M.H. as a comparison and I experienced higher electric costs, more heat issues and less yield. Good luck with it. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post: | |

kailiwela44 | Thank you, I'm flattered, I would seriously consider one of those new broad spectrum hps bullbs, I've got 5' ers going under a 400w, best results I've ever got. I'm a believer. Peace | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
