In the begining of this month i germinated two Mango seeds from marijuanaseeds-nl. They were started in 4" pots with a medium of Black gold potting soil, sphagum peat moss, and perlite. After the first set of true leaves, i vegged her for a week before transplanting in 2 gallon hempy hybrid Buckets.
I don't really have an official name to refer it by, but basically its the same idea as the OG Hempy, puka (hole) about 1.5" above the bottom and filled with perlite to 1" above the puka. What makes this different is there is a thin layer of coco coir and my organic soil mix. The coco coir is there to prevent the soil from falling through to the perlite. Wether it works or not i'll have to let you know later.
My soil mix i made is 4quarts of Black gold Organic, 2quarts black gold worm castings, 2quarts of perlite, bone meal, and dolomite lime.
I plan to veg her until friday when there is suppose to be a full moon.
Other things to note: i used superthrive when transplanting and used a 1/4strength of Alaskan FE twice, and once in combo with molasses. So far thee are both doing fairly well. One of them had some transplant shock and took about a week before growing more leaves.
pics to come laters,

i've given them some alaskan fish emulsion twice and superthrive once since the transplant, i've only watered three times. The first time took almost a weeks for the res to dry out, but since then the res had dried out from a few days.
The way i check my res is to tip the bucket to allow run-off. I guestimate how much water is left by the amount of angle needed till run-off. I don't go past 45 degrees.
After i water i tip the bucket back. I leave a was cloth under the puka (hole) and leave it overnight. The next morning, i take out the cloth and level the bucket to check for more run-off. Usually not any.

Plus too i just put in my order for a grow bright t5 light. once that comes in i'll use that with maybe four cfls.
Other notes: On friday there was a power outtage. i don't know how long it was out so last night she was on a 18/6 instead of 20/4. And starting tommorrow lights will go out early for the start of 12/12.

It's been about one week since 12/12 and late last night i found that both girls are...girls! So, i started recharging my batteries for my camera. Hopefully i'll have pictures later this week.

No pics for an update yet. I just past the first week of 12/12 and have given the two girls, confirmed, two feedings of AFE once in combo w/molasses, and two h20 once w/molasses.
So far everything is green.
I also noticed that when i watered them both w/the bucket tilted back, the usual amount of water didn't reach the overflow puka. So, i took a shower smoked a bowl then went back and tilted the bucket forward and noticed that there wasn't any water coming. I gave them both, roughly, the same amount of h20 as the first feeding, tilted her back and only minimal amounts of water came from the puka.
Since she seems to be drinking lots of water, i'm gonna start giving her some cannabio flores at her next feeding (1/4 strength) w/molasses. The following feeding will have the budswel guano (.01-.1-.01) (1/4 strength) and then we'll see from there.
I've also got my new Growbright 4 bulb T5. I swapped that with most of the cfls, and mcgyvered four cfls along the sides...i'll give a picture later. But i didn't believe how much lower the temperature gets. Now i may be faced with a new dilemna...the decreased temperature range from lights on to lights off. From what i read, if there is not a significant decrease in temps from lights on to off, the leaves will loose clorophyll. Does anyone know what is the least amount of temperature drop i can afford before the loss of clorophyll?
A question i keep forgetting to ask. Is there a way, judging by trichome color, to kinda signal when to start the flush (mines will be just plain, like Soma, water feeding w/molasses every other watering)?
Thanks a bunch,
kailiwela44

Still no pics yet, but last night fed her 1/4 strength of biocanna flores. There are more and more hairs everyday, not plenty but enough to get excited. I found out last night though that if anyone is interested in doing this, Home Depots 2 G white paint bucket fits in a 10/11 L Dish pan/bucket thing from Wal mart. This makes it easier because i can water and leave it in the grow cab and come back later to drain and wipe the bucket.

Rep Power: 117 | | 1/13/09 14 days 12/12 i didn't get a close up from the first pic. my daughter was calling. Next time i won't darken the picture, but as you can see the third is showing hairs. The third picture is also the orginal cola. I fed her plain H20, and the next watering on 1/14 will have cannabio flores w/0.3mL per 1.5L h20
