Thanks!

I was thinking of a sectioned off part at the top for perhaps the fan and carbon similar to what you have, but ideally all in the one cabin with just a duct coming out. I don't know if it will fit, but I don't think I will be able to decide for sure until I get the main cabinet built.

That brings me to the question of temperatures since you installed your fan. I think you said you got a 265cfm fan? Since that was installed what temps do you get inside at lightson/lightsoff? Also wouldn't mind knowing what the temp outside the cabinet is as well. I am trying to gauge how good of a fan I need so I don't have to upgrade later.

Now this is a somewhat open question for anyone who might be in the thread and know... In using ebb n flow scrog with rockwool, how do you set the rockwool in the tray up? Is it best to sit on top of something else? Is the empty space filled with something in between? What size cubes do mature scrog plants typically require?

Thanks if anyone knows =)

You could probably section off the top a bit and put it in there. I have my shelf higher than the instructions call for.. I wanted more height in the cabinet. I would worry about losing too much height with it inside. You could have it mounted in there and drawing air through it.. instead of pushing air into it like I am. I set mine up this way becuase I needed to vent my HID.. but I hear the filters work better when air is drawn through them and capturing particles in the external filter. After this grow I will probably rip that top shelf out, or at least most of it and just box in the fan on the right. That way, I can raise my light higher. I may do this soon if the ladies start to really get tall....

My space is in a basement, so it stays around 78 outside the cabinet max in the summer. Not sure about the winter.. haven't been here that long. Currently with lights on, I am running around 80 to 81 at canopy height and the HID about 18" from the canopy/temp gauge. I would like it a little cooler, but will get there when it is fall/winter. I can't complain for that in August. LIghts off in the cab I am dropping to a low of 70 in the eve, but usually around 73. My house is AC so it stays pretty stable to begin with. In short.. I am happy with my 265cfm.. but a larger volume won't hurt.. :-) And you can find controls for fans to run them at different speeds.. look on hidhut. They have them.. just not sure you could find one cheap to run at 1/2 speed during lights off, then full speed when lights are on.

As for the last question about the ebb and flow.. not 100% sure. A lot of people use Hygroton, and another product that is very similar. (silica based i think or something?) I have a whole bag of Hygroton here waiting for a run on hydro.. I am going soil first.. then Hydro/soil next round. Hedging my bets.

Your best bet is probably to start a new thread with a good title in the Hydro section. There are a ton of really bright hydro peeps here. You will get an answer really quick, and probably won't here on this thread... it just probably will not get noticed here.

Hope that helps!

Default Some more pics.. Yowza!

Hey everyone..

I am so excited about the buds forming on these gals. Jangels post of her plants the other day really got me stoked for how these might start to pack on some bud. These are at about 18 days of flower, so I think about a week behind the pics she had.

All plants in flower are doing pretty damn nice. The "donkey d!ck" plant is looking pretty good.. I think that is gonna be one nice massive cola. The other two plants that I topped are putting on some nice little colas too. One has about 13 forming and the other about 10.

The scrogged plant has about 30 larger size colas forming and about 30 more smaller bud sites still pretty low, but pushing up to the light. The larger ones are about 5" long so far and just seem to be filling in with more and more pistils. They are not massive, but I think this scrog is really going to produce a sizeable amounts of mini colas for my vaporizing pleasure.

Looking tasty GreenGoblin, good job. Be careful of those pistils turning brown already as that is a sign of either pollination(not good unless you want seeds) or touching them or being brushed against something which is not a problem at all.

Thanks for the heads up! That is good to know, I hadn't realized that was a sign of being pollinated. All of the plants in my flower cab are females. I do have one plant of unknown sex in the veg cabinet near by, but that has been under 24 x 7 veg since seed. I do not see any balls on that one, and am actually going to take its clone and sex it in a separate chamber to determine sex.

I am pretty darn sure it is me touching them. I can't help it. It smells so sweet... . I think i have narrowed it down to being a northern light. Anyone want to chime in? This is one of the mystery plants from the seeds I bought in Amsterdam two years ago and forgot the strain. It kind of rings a bell and the description that I have read at several different seed banks sounds like the type of strain I was looking for. Low odor, shorter plant... It any event.. I know it will be a good strain given the origin.

On a side note.. I am really digging the seeds offered at high grade seeds that you guys have been posting about. I really want to place an order, but have no safe place to send them.
