Anyone know the cause of the brown leaves? Outdoor grow, FoxFarm soil, using Fox Fram Grow Big, 1tsp. per gallon, watering every other day.
Thanks

If those were my plants... I might try some straight ph'ed water for a couple of waterings. If they are outside they should drink up quickly. Then I would hit them with a good but reasonable dose of ....say schultz 20-30-20 fertilizer water soluble with micronutrients........ It could be a number or combination of deficiency's or lack of trace elements.

Gave them some more water yesterday and they seem to look a little better this morning. It's been around 100º here in Texas, so it might be heat stress.
Thank you all for the advice. My first grow.

Just keep giving them plain water for another day or so. Also if it is that hot consider some type of sun shade to keep the direct light off the plants.

Thanks | frankly, those leaves look like they were burned by contact with a hot bulb.
the rest of the vegetation looks uber healthy.

Outdoor grow, Bozo. No artificial lights. What about misting the leaves with plain water? Anybody do that to cool down the plants?

I shower mine almost every night with lake water. But only after they are out of direct sunlight. I did that all last summer , and my grow was great.

and as for the problem....all i cant think of is maybe pH? is that problem all over the plant or just in a specific area of a few leaves?

Everyone... decided to transplant one of them into our flower garden yesterday around 7:00 PM. Discovered something that all you outdoor growers that grow in pots may want to know: When I lifted the plant out of its pot to put it in the ground, the soil around the root ball was HOT!!! I mean really hot, like uncomfortable to the touch. So I'm thinking heat stress was the problem. I have three more plants on the patio (concrete) and I put large rocks under the catch trays so air can circulate underneath. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress. Bottom line: elevate your outdoor grow in pots for ventilation. Concrete gets hot and transfers the heat upward. Checked this morning and the plant in the garden is looking better.
