Yeah...the C-99 is a challenging strain to me. It is a slow vegger (no worries there, I've got the time) but it likes the nutes stronger. The fried tips you see were from when it was in the clone box, and I left the leaves on to see if they would heal up.

These are doing MUCHO better than the first ones I got as clones. Those 2 got into a nute or Ph lock right from the start, and I was too ignorant to know what it was, so they stayed pale and anorexic looking (big time) until they were in flower and I finally figured out I needed to add more Nitrogen to their feed. the ones in flower are the greenest ones I've got, now! (I'll post some pics tonight of them alone in the Flower thread on Indoor Growing)

Default Saturday Update...!

Figgered I best get this caught up...been too long.

Thanks to TOKECRAZY and others, I flushed the DWC plants out for 5 days, then restarted them on low-level nutes.

I am using Plant Marvel Cal-Mag+, and Aqua Vega (2 part). I mixed 1/2 tsp. of ea. in with what had been the flush water, and the PPM settled in right at 300, with Ph at 5.5.

The results of all this are below...THANKS ALL! Without the "coaching" they would have been toast, but in the last 3 days the DWC plants have done a total turn-around! Growing like crazy and getting some good color back. I did have to remove a few leaves that were beyond helping, but the rest are doing fine and new stuff is sprouting all over!

The oil plants are also in high gear...the Blueberry hit 29" this morning, and will be 30" by tomorrow (Yeah, I should have topped it but was chicken..LOL). One step at a time...

The Blackberry is over 22", and the Whoopass is about 18". Willie 3 is vegging nicely, and the little C 99 that has been so abused by one of our cats is also hanging in there, and in fact is huurrying along to catch up with her cousins..she knows it's getting late in the day.. and all her cousins will be going to flower shortly

As soon as the plants in the flower room are "done", these will be going in. I still need to cut clones for the next grow, so it will be at least 10 days yet.

I don't know what it is, but there is FEAR present whenever I think of hacking something up on one of my kids...cutting the top off seems like major surgery to me and I wouldn't want to mess up!

Thanks SS! I think I may have the name tags for the Blueberry and Blackberry reversed. I am told the Blackberry is the FAST vegging one (supposed to be 35 days). Well, the Blueberry (as currently marked) is now over 30". Over an inch of vertical growth a day! Woo Hoo!

I've got to get that plant in flower before it gets too big. Although it looks impressive, I am finding that indoor flowering plants that get too big are a pain in the arse! :losthead:

What i find forks like a dream is letting your clones grow big in your clone box and get a really big root ball on them. Then you slap them in the grow room and you dont need the veg them that long. 3 weeks and they are big enough to flower.

Quick update here. More later if time allows.

The plants are all growing well under the new hybrid lamp (1000W HPS/MH combo Hortilux). I've got this lamp covering an area of (roughly) 3'X5', it is just cool to look at the blues and yellows in the reflections on the back wall.

The C-99's are very slow veggers (my last one was too), but are picking it up now. If I had the room I would have 5 of these in flower now! I'm just out of room to set any more in there.

It has been a bit chilly at night, and this morning it was only 70F in the room at light level. Tonight I have the lamp sitting about 8" above the tops of the plants (at least most of them...the Blueberry "rises above" the rest). Still, the warmest I could do with all doors closed is in the pic. The thermometer sits at plant-top height so I can be sure I am reading the temp the plants are seeing, and not 5' away where it can be 10 degrees cooler.

The DWC bin that was holding the Willie 4 and C-99 4 had an issue...the Willie was waaay bigger than the C-99 and it was getting shaded out! I set up one of the 5 gal buckets (Thanks Blood for the info!) and moved it over on it's own. Hopefully it will kick into high gear and catch up!

ISO

Edit: I also see I screwed up labeling the plants. the one in front with teh long arrow is a C-99 in the DWC bucket, not an NFO. the 2nd NFO is to the front left, out of the pic.
