Hey guys gonna post up some notes here, would love some feedback. particularly on implementing ScroG and the associated trimming.
Chamber: 2x4x8 closet lined with emergency blankets
Genetics: From cuttings, 2 hashberry, 1 sour diesel, 1 strawberry cough
Lighting: 2 125w 6500k farmtek cfls, 2 42w 2700k cfls, 5 75w fluro tubes (3 red spectrum 2 blue spectrum)
Medium: Fox farms ocean, vermiculite, perlite, rocks on bottom for drainage. 4:1:1 ratio
Nutrients: Grow & Stabilizer formulas from local hydro shop
Temperature: 70's at night, upto 86 when really hot out.
Humidity: 30% to 50% normally
These clones are about 7 weeks old at this point, and were recently transplanted. After transplant I flushed and fed distilled water for 3 feedings. Have been fed twice with nutrients. After flushing and transplant significant growth occurred.
I have an intake fan pulling cool air in from the basement through the floor and wall with two 250 cfms. I cannot exhaust out the ceiling into the attic so I recently bought a door at lowes for $20, only had to cut an inch off the bottom. I plan to hack up the door and exhaust hot air out the top with a fan. Currently I leave the door cracked during the day to keep temps down, but I want to be able to leave it closed and not worry about light leak. Hence the door!
I've implemented a ScroG that is hanging from my light hood (plywood covered in mylar with lights mounted) but am yet to attach the plants to it.
I'm planning to veg for another week or so before switching over and tying everything down. I wanted to get some advice on how low to bring the screen down on the stalks, how much lower stalk trimming I should do and if I should top, fim or trim any of the large fan leaves?
When i trim I plan to take some cuts, so I will be spending the rest of today creating a veg chamber for clones.
Sorry for not posting pics directly in here, but I haven't completely figured it out yet. heres a link. Note: The pics are in chronological order (oldest first)
