Rep Power: 202 | | Rental, your main route would be to use an in line cage fan , drawing directly from the hood or tube and venting it thru the closest exit point, most likely 4" pipe and fittings. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post: | |

Yep, what ^he said. Growing in a rental is not the ideal situation, but I did it in the past.

If you use a air cooled hood you can vent through the cieling pretty easy. Plus its a easy repair if you move. They make patch kits for holes in walls and cielings and have acoustic repair putty! The stuff works well and is easy to use. Good luck!

Will proximity of your indoor grow allow you to tie into the dryer exhaust? All you would would need is a 4 or 6 inch aluminum T and the tubing. I've seen some people use the grow light exhaust to heat the house. Just run the line out of the grow area into another room if possible. A lot of apartment and houses have vents above doors. So if you don't have one, cut a square hole above the door, and put nice looking square vent in. Chances are the land lord will never even notice the new nice looking vent when you move out. If they did notice they might just think... hmmm I didn't know that was there, and just think they overlooked it before.

What FLIR and handhelds detect is high concentration heat spots. If you are spreading the heat all around the house, nothing will be detected as a HOT SPOT. No worries!!

If you heat with electricity you will reduce the amount of increase in your light bill. It will make the house smell though. But isn't that better than pumping it into your neighbors yard?
The only bummer is when the weather get's warmer you may not want to pump it into the house... it might get to warm for comfort.
