[Req] hps bulb review

I am interested in reading other peoples findings regarding side by side grow comparisons using different bulbs to weed out the worthless claims. Im currently in the market for a replacement 400w hps bulb. I dont need it yet, but would like to make a decision in the next 2 weeks.

Short of those, Im willing to read just about any rambling even remotely related to bulb comparisons...

Hi Anon,

from what I understand most all quality HID bulbs that are designed for growing are very similar as you can see by manufactures specifications, so as long as you go with a reputable dealer, I would shop by price


HIDHUT is very good, great coustomer service, if not the very lowest price ever
and on Ebay you can see how many sales the person has as well as the posts of each coustomer to make sure they are not shady....make sure they have been selling for some time and to many people

Just not alot of posts on bulb comparison and I never changed mine enough to really get to try alot of different brands when I used HPS

Hid hut also has a very good comparison of different makes of HPS, and MH bulbs and ballasts. They stand 120% behind thier service and if you call them up you can usually get a cheaper shipping rate.
