It seems when it rains it pours, I posted a problem with my 1000 watt the other day, and today I have another problem with a 455 watt MH light.

The issue is I acquired a few of these that were previously used as warehouse lighting, and "I think they are wired for 347 voltage."

The lights have the capability of being 120/277/347 voltages.
My guess is they are wired for 347, as the sticker says they are !! lol

They have three wires at the end, two black wires, and a green/yellow wire, which I believe is the COM wire. I tried wiring the two black to a cord and nothing happened. now I am thinking of trying wrapping the two black wires together, and the COM wire to the other wire, and plugging it in to see what happens.....
any experts with some input for an old stoner?

I can't remember if that is the page I used to rewire my ballast or not. (Mine was a used low bay ebay light, and came to me wired for 277 instead of 120, I believe).

I would read the whole thing if I were you. Under the third pic, there is a section on metal halides.

It looks like between these two pages, you will probably be able to do it. The only other advice I can offer is what you already know: look for clues, such as numbers printed on the wire insulation (yes, old and faded probably), and little pieces of tape on each wire with something written or printed on it.

hmm well what kind of light is it and yes they can all be rewired and there should be a wire diagram on the case inside of it if you have any of the info i can help you out let me know
