these might really have some potential. if they're made to replace the bulbs in street lamps and most of us use the same bulbs currently in street lamps.....
not to mention they claim they have the same spectrum as the sun while using less energy and less heat.
almost sounds too good to be true for a grow light.

what I wanna know is, how long do they last? it said no electrical current hits the bulb, only heat, but heat breaks things down fast.

they mention something about a big portion of the energy being turned into light instead of heat

i for see a new style of cab being done kind of like leds but depending on power use and money as to how many since those thing are the size of a tic tac i wander how dense the buds would be in that cab set up with 60 of those lil suckers hiting the plant from every angle possable and bright as can be at that for each bulb just inches away from the plant

Hey Guys&Gals,That 6000 degree is Kelivin.I had to watch the vedio clip a couple times, but he said 6000 degree kelvin.Without air cool to my 400 watter I wouldnt be able to put my hand on the shade and he has his on the light. All heat is turned to energy thus is light. There was no air cooling on that light and the guy had his hand on it.I can see it now they install them in street lights and the criminals will be steeling them faster then they can installed them.I hope they do work as good as they say.If they do they most likely will cost two arms and a leg.But we will see. PEACE

PEACE | sure, the color temp of the light is 6000K - that in your place and your place will be gone in spit seconds!
so the color temp thing is put away now, the next thing is the efficiency of this plasma bulb was 140lum/W (which is about what a 400W HPS yields from you hydro dollars) @ 250W power consumption - so it will produce as much heat as a 400W HPS cooking on 250W, SO still a lot!!
