Default New light

THis looks promising:
An oscillating parabolic reflector with a high-intensity sodium lamp flicks beams of light from one end of the greenhouse to the other, providing intermittent light across the entire crop.
Theres a small movie of the light in action.

Some kind of a new light mover.I watched the video and it looked like there was some dark areas. They put more light then that one light to grow that big of area.In the video they dont show the light with the bottom refector like the one in the pix you have. What dose the bottom refector do to.With anything new it will take time for it to catch on. PEACE

Interesting concept, for sure.

It would be interesting to measure the LUMEN output at various spots in the grow area, as light waves lose strength quickly the further they are from the source, unless they have designed this so that the reflected beam is intense and very directional. Nothing will beat getting the lamp itself as close to the plant as possible, but this may be a damn good option for some with large grow areas and not enough amps or $$ to operate a bunch of HID lighting.

It also might be a good idea for those that cannot have any more lights due to wiring concerns such as myself. (4x1000)
This could be an alternative to adding lights, but covering the grow area with more light while reducing the costs, and materials used.
I'll wait for more research and results.

surely a nice thing to have in a big grow and less stuff to break on as on traditional light movers - but this is for big grows only.
in a closet sized grow or a bit larger a single bulb is often only needed and 400W fixed yield big
besides, with every ft distance you lose lumen and with that light 6 or 10ft away @400W you not working with too much pf a punch anymore! so this is something for commercial growers of flower as chides like in the video - it isn't for growing weed really.
