The room itself is a storage area,adjacent to furnace and h20 tank,both gas fired(free source of co2),concerned about heat buildup in winter when furnace is cranked
tips on cooling and venting would be much appreciated
plan on using some cfl's for germination and to start vegging
is it possible to sex the plants with just my cfl's or will i have to plug in my big boy(1000w lumatek)?

Did you get a thermometer yet to check out the temps as there are pre furnace winter heat?

The 1000W will need some venting for sure. Have you got a cool tube with it?

I believe you have an attic duct above the ceiling there. Can you determine if it goes outside to a vent?

Welcome! I'm sure you will find all the answers you need here. I am using CFL's atm and they do give off a tiny bit of heat, but that's all I can use here. I use them for veg and 12/12 and they will show sex. I just took a clone off of one that was in flower for 4 weeks, so we will see how that goes, it's still alive anyway but time will tell!

went out and bought a merc thermometer for the wall this morning
its 79F in there with the furnace off and the door shut

That should be okay. Is the furnace newer or older? If newer it might be mid to high efficiency and this would make it cooler in the room. How about the vent in the ceiling does it go anywhere like outside? Let us know.
