Default Can U beat the price????

I live in a state that does'nt have one hydroponics store so I have to buy everything elsewhere and pay shipping on top of the already high prices of equipment.
Ricky@Florahydroponics.com said he'd meet or beat anyones prices! I purchased a 400 watt Lumatek mh/hps for 140.00, a 600, same kind for 170.00. Those were the best prices I found after looking for days. I am not in any way affiliated w/ florahydroponics or this site, just passing on what I consider useful information{but, GreenPassion is my house too-so please be so kind as to wipe your feet before you come in and hopefully they{GreenPassion} will keep the lights on for US!!!!
I don't care how much money I'm spending, Walmart or hydro-I still want the best I can get for the money and I think most of us feel the same way. Thanks for your time, Billy

A Lumatek 600 wholesales for around $140. $170 is a *great* price. I just saw one at a hydro shop here for $399. (I call ripoff!) If you pay over $280 you ARE gettin' jacked folks.

Something else...these stores..if reputable..will stand behind what they sell..and if they are selling Lumateks..be aware that if the outer case of the ballast (heat sink)isn't anodized BLUE or PURPLE the ballast you are getting is faulty/old stock and has probably been sent back/repaired on warranty or purchased somewhere second hand

Lumatek dealers that are **legit** are only selling blue/purple ones at present.

just a head's up.

Thanks for adding that Btdt, sometimes I forget not all have traveled the roads we have-u are 100% right about refurbished equipment. When I started out I would but just the ballast{new}and did the other work myself, made some good stuff, still use one that has 4 150 hps built around 2 250 mh. I like giving those girls all they want and need. U tried those new hortilux blue. As for as HTGS, much love for them-Tony stands behind a product. I got about ten quotes from everyone I'd used in the past and Flora won hands down on the price, and Ricky has always been straight w/ me. Like I stated in the thread, {This is'nt an endorsement for anyone}just the best prices I was able to find for new Lumateks-which serve me well. U can bet a man needs to do his homework or he will end up paying high prices for refurbished equipment.

Right on bd1975. Wayy happy for ya here for scoring such a smokin deal.

I love these 600's. You can tell by putting it side-by-side with a mag/coil 1000 hps that there is VERY LITTLE difference in luminosity. They simply rock.

I hope others take yer cue and grab these at those prices. Ya won't be sorry folks.

Nope.

Once again u'r 100%!!!Only thing I did'nt know is they don't make a good straight MH bulb for the 600, which would have made me do things a lil different, I have to run a 1000 hortilux blue, but I like to mix the lights/bulbs to see what results u get. I even run those 250 cfl's around the bottom, hate to see a wann'a be bud not go where it wants!!!lol. I like to experment-was thinking on a round grow room!!!Found these 4x8 sheets of stuff at HD that I used to cover the walls around the inside hot tub, it's blinding white, one asle over from the molding etc..got a small pebble finish and I coat it with this polmer stuff the coast guard uses to coat buoys{also blinding white-have to wear shades when you put it on a roof or such}According to my light meter this reflects more light back than anything else I've found. So...am I correct in thinking that if this is bent round even more light would be reflected??If someone already knows I'd like to hear from them as it would save time and $. Thanks, Billy

U got it, e-mail him w/ your list and u can mention my name if u wish. He said it, and did it for me, and I point blank ask him if he would do this for everyone and he said yes!!!Please don't take this wrong, I've got much love for HTGS, they've been good to me-ALWAYS!!!Sent me three different 1000 watt bulbs until I was happy-I had won it on ebay for 20.00-that's service. Ricky just beat everyones price and said he would do it on all items for anyone. florahydroponics is his site!!!Hope this helps, Billy

Yeah...ya just gotta grab a good conversion lamp for yer 600 to get heavy on the blue side of the spectrum. Sunmaster & Solar NRG come to mind. (I have the NRG's but have yet to use them in the e ballasts)

Gavita also makes a "veg lamp" in a 600. I couldn't make out the internal parts in the pic to see if it's a MH envelope or an hps tube..but this also gives off lots of blue light via a 600 watt lamp.

http://www.progressive-growth.com/pr...php?prod=gav6m

I hear Eye/Hortilux is gonna make a straight 600 MH but have no info as to when. Someone else will probably beat em to it. (China)
