Default Best light combo for color temps?

Hello all, I'm improving my grow room, and decided to do a vertical grow with a 48" dual cool tube. Originally I was going to go for 2 400w hps lights, but upon further research it seems best to have both mh and hps. From my own experience this seems to make sense, using only a 400w hps for flowering I've noticed my buds not as frosty or dense as other reports from the same strain (white widow). Anyways, I see that the hid lights have different color temperatures, from hortilux hps at 2150 k to hortilux blue mh 6500 k. Would it be best to get these two lights at opposite ends of the spectrum, or should I get regular bulbs more in the middle range like a 3000k for the hps and a 4000k mh? I grow mainly for myself so I care more about quality than quantity. Also I hear a lot of support for additional uvb light from reptile bulbs, but if I have a 400w mh and a 400w hps going in a 4x4x6 room would putting in an additional uvb light really improve things? Seems like I would already be at the saturation point.

Thanks

Every time I have incorporated metal halide into my grows throughout the entire flower period, gram per watt has gone down. Running MH for the first 2 weeks seems to not effet yield in any negative way.

The Eye Hortilux Super HPS bulbs actually produce quite a bit of blue light, which may explain this phenomena.

Obviously the plant has an easier time assembling bud material from light closer to the red peak photosynthetic response. Also, creating blue light takes more energy per photon than red, so it is more effecient to create the more red photons, which the plant has an easier time making buds with.

that's been my experience.
