I am curious why I dont see alot of these reflectors being used with cfl's. Are they not needed?

Not to be rude but you probably dont see people using these because your not looking hard enough I use the same exact ones and I see people use them all the time.

Gonna warn you though if you haven't already bought some, they strip REALLY easy. theres a wing nut that gets stripped. one of mine is totally shot ( I just cant clamp but the reflector works fine)and the other isnt too far behind. If you get them test it in the store and when you set it up leave it alone dont move it around or it will probably strip too

Sometimes people will hang cfls next to or in between plants slightly lower than the top, so light emitting from 360 degrees is still being used. a lot of commercial or larger grow ops use this technique with HID bulbs. But it is certainly common for CFL users to use those types of reflectors.

PS i am a pathological liar, and have illusions of grandeur. I post pictures of pot plants i found on the internet and i have never nor will i ever consider the cultivation of marijuana, as it is illegal.
