i would say go with the 40/60 or even 30/70 mix of light if you can becuose the point is to give the plant the most natural lighting with still giving yourself a little bit of an edge.
but that is just my opinion and in veg as long as you have the lumen's then you should be fine me myself i not only have them above the plant i hang them on the sides to .

I agree strongly there but i also through in some 26w for both fruiting and growth stages it is a medium kelvin temperature ! (Mixed spectrum's )
but definatly listen to the Shaman for he is wise in the way of the CFL! .. lol
