Default Uk cheese 375w enviro grow

Hey all my first attempt and some sort of grow diary i guess..lol Anyways I converted one of my cuboards into a small grow room and have had a nice harvest of some uk cheese already but that was under 1x 125w enviro and some cfls.. i ended up over nuting and out of 4 plants ended up with 3... the smoke was amazing and so this time im better prepared with the right nutes and more light power.. gonna be using my own mix of soil so i dont need to feed them until 2nd week into flower..Then will be using canna terra flores with canna boost acclelerator and around week 5 will be using canna pk 13/14... so far they look great and im just glad i cloned the cheese last time..lol Any coments and help would be appreciated.. only ever grown once before indoors.. learnt alot from that and hope that shows during this grow..

im assuming that is heat stress on one side of the plants? it doesnt look like nute burn, in fact they look like they need a little nitrogen. also: do you have fresh air getting in there somewhere? and/or exhaust?

sure thres an airintake and out but u cant see that in the pics.. the temps are at a steady 75/ 78 all the time.. altho yeah the light did get bit close and burnt some leaf tips.. not worried about that.. and the are alot darker green when u see them for real.. its the camera making them appear lighter..

Just a little update.. repotted some seedlings and put them in the cuboard with the others still under 24/7 will probably give it another week maybe bit less as the cheese clones are ready to go.

Had an idea a while back so im setting out on a little experiment i thought of. After a few months of reading forums and sharing info on the various methods of growing cannabis i decided i would try to see how i could possibly improve on growing in soil by upping the air that the roots will recieve quite dramatically.. we all know hydro and aero benifit greatly from this... so anyway i noticed a while back that some roots of a small clone i planted i a small pot had grown thru the bottom of the pot that had some womens tights instead of paper on the bottom.. nothing too amazing there i guess..lol. Well after a bit a bit of thought it dawned on my that it would be possible to make an air pocket inside a pot that sat between 2 layers of soil all hidden from light... So by using 2 pots and an ice cream tub some womens tights, string and good old sticky tape. Anyways i quickly knocked together the idea and have to say it might just work..lol i have added some pictures so u can see what im going on about.. So the plant sits in the top pot with your usual mix of soil and perlite etc.. but the top pot has had its bottom plastic removed and the pot shortend in height so it can sit in the second pot and replaced with some tights material and then made stronger with the string on the bottom as u can see, afterall it will get heavier after watering and dont want it all collapsing.. the tights material appears very strong and will support the soil very well allowing just the roots to grow thru... The top pot slides into the second pot closing off and sealing the light out from the airpocket.. as the roots grow gown in search of water they will start to grow into the layer of soil 2 inches maybe a bit more below and then out into the ice cream container that has soil/perlite and large airy rocks on the bottom with holes in the ice cream container for grainage... I also have made a small air intake for the air pocket with a small tube that goes into the soil thru the pot into the air pocket... eventually i will seal the icecream container top from light altogether.. for now its ok.. anyways if we dont try we will never learn and so far i cant find any information of anyone ever trying this or anything like this.. Maybe thats telling me something.. hahaha oh well wont hurt to try.

interesting and innovative design. i have no experience with trying to get extra air to soil roots, but its a good idea! im excited to see how it goes. do you have another plant of the same kind/grow time that this can be compared to?

Just a little update... Put 3 of the plants into 12/12 on thursday (5 days ago) and made some adjudtments to the flowering room.. Have constant temperature of 76 and getting plenty of fresh air into the area quite nicely as the fan has been optimized slightly..... manage to maintain about 60/65 at lights off so not too bad. The room they was in before (the pics before today)is now for vegging and sits right next door the flowering room with no light leaks at all. They had a very weak feed last week as couple of plants seemed to be using up all the nutes they had.. 2 have been repotted into 24L tub with plenty of drainage etc..

So far so good.. Have few burnt tips from getting caught out with the enviros getting bit close..lol but still nothing to worry about!!!
