Rep Power: 99 | | Temp & PH & Humidity, need help please
Temp is staying around 90 :(
Ph is 6
and Humidity is 42
I Have a 120mm computer fan for intake and have a 2 inch wide/long whole cut into the bottom for outake.
Ph is 6 coming out of the bottom of the cup.
Just got a humidty gage,
says 42 .
This is a indoor,enclosed,soil grow...
Just transfered last night into bigger pot (2 gallon)
Fed the first time today (besides water) Some Miracle Grow Planting and Transplanting starting solution.
I Even have a Big Box fan placed infront of the whole in the bottom,to give more sucking power for the outake.
Nothing is budging.
Only have 3 lights going, and fixtures for 6 :(
Cant control the enviroment with the 3 i got now!
Help? |

Increase the size of the fan in the top blowing air out (or drawing the air, ) If you increase the negative pressure it will increase the airflow into your opening at the bottom. Thus lowering your temps.

What sort of environment are you in?
I mean the temperature and humidity wherever you are taking air in from?
If the ambient temperature is very high, there will be no possible way to cool your grow without gale force winds. You might need to get a cheap ($100 at walmart) window air conditioner.

50-60% humidity aint bad, get it lower for flower. Your pH is good for soil, Yer doin Aces bud. Once you get the temps down you'll be on easy street, Luck and Life

Hehehe, thought you had a tough one In front of your bottom opening (on the inside of your cabnet) Place a low pan of water, as it evaporates it is picked up by the air coming into your space raising the humidity. Watch the pan it may evaporate quickly it'll keep ya busy Luck my friend

Thank's once again !!
My intake is on top blowing down into my area,
and the whole is on the bottom , maybe 3 inches off the ground.
So i should place a small pan of water on the bottom of my area? correct? |

The heat rises in your space and collects at the top, this top fan should draw the warm air out of the space at the top where it collects. The bottom openings will allow cooler room air to enter move across your low pan of water, pick up moisture, and fill up your space. It's the top fan, it should be blowing out not in
Your luck is improving LOL

Yes, 18-6 ( 8am to 2pm there off)
I Had my Intake/outake confused ,Nimb corrected me and now as we speak the Humidity is alllllllmost 50, so im working on that,
and the Temp. is 78 - 79 !!!
Until i get moved im doin this small cfl grow, My other plans are on Hold right now ,
The lights are only 3500k and with 1,300 lumens a bulb. I Can only Use 2 bulbs right now :( (until i get this other computer fan installed ,because the heat rises to much ...
I Took the 3 socket fixture and mounted 2 of those,
so 6 lights total or 12 lights with Y splitters,
But i can only use 2 for now
Plant looks real healthy, and is developing but it seems it's developing so slow,
But i guess bein tortured with 90 degree heat and the wrong intake / outake passage didnt help
I have another seed that popped over night and i planted in ph'd soil , so should i just let the current one go , and re start with this one?
Somedude - Lol yea i no right, the thermometer i had i swore was broke when i kept reading 90 , but im getting there |

Sup Man! you're doing just fine, Keep everything growing if it will, you might be tossing out a sweet little girl, and we wouldn't want that to happen. The heat is/was the reason the little one is growing slow. The little beastie will perk up and start doing it's thing. Shoot man, you just love your plants too much <BIG GRIN> Luck and Life
