Okay, this is only a side project of me... the intention of it was to flower fast a few clones to sex then. this changed now, i going to finish these in my veg box. and this is the trick:

this grow is under floro tubes with about 5000lumen in 6500K color temp., so technically in the wrong range but it seems to work still not to bad. that is why i want to finish this project to see how it turns out in the end.

i'm maybe nuts but there is some tricho glance around the major buds, which isn't bad for BB under T8's, ain't bad at all. with HPS it takes the same time to guess a little of that too. i'm really surprised how much has changed in the power of floro's since my last attempt years ago. back then there was hardly any bud growing after 8 weeks and now after barley two i got residue:D cool!!:D

Good thread I'll be watching, I'm thinking of buying some t8s for my mommy plants. I was told this was a bad idea I should just use CFLs which I have a ton of but I'd rather just use a T8 setup if it works, less hassle and upkeep as the plants grow.

CFL are nothing else as compact floros, so they are equal in terms of light, besides that each has its cons and pros. floros are great as long you looking for general top light and they don't get too hot, you can touch them and so can the leaves NO SHIT ON THIS ONE, 3-5ft ones for example don't get much over body temp.
CFLs get way hot, leaves should touch them, but the can be lowered between plants in a grow to provide a side lighting for the plant and they start for less.

of course there are the bargain ones as my 3ft floro which went for 7 bucks a piece with quality GE tubes and starter, but those deals aren't too often fund really:(

that floro/CFLs aren't powerful enough to fire up a mother is pure bull for surebusted

well a small food for thought, i have my own experiment going on with a ak x mango with 8 cfls, used one then two then 4 then 6 then 8, but to be honest only reason im using 8 on it is becuase i want more trichomes, otherwise 4 23w 2700k is enough for 1 plant 3 ft tall to be a beautiful plant, my experiment was to have a bastard child, neglected under 4 cfls but watered enough to live and barely fed, shes 4 and a half feet tall in my closet and besides the burns from the plant growing into the bulbs i havent bad any problems from her no faded leaves or dead limbs, she beautiful and a small amount of cfls is kicking her atleast half as good as a 250w mh on her would do, and omg put a bunch of seeds in a clear tupperware with a wet napkin under 1 27w 6500k cfl and they bloom within 24 hours right up long enough to where the seed shell almost falls off....anyway i have 4 plants under cfl and total of 16 cfls and the 3 plants that arent neglected are right in trichomes fat tasty buds, but rest assured i still choose mh and hps for indoor over cfl

DUDE, wtf??!

i got HPS and even a MH, you for sure won't have to tell me that this would be a far better source of light to grow with but this about growin with tubes as a small experiment.

quiet pleased with what i see, if not to say impressed for a bit that the floros get them actually a bit iced...

...besides the statement of an other well regarded member of this community that BB isn't producing any icing at all
